Chapter 27

School was boring, and everything went by so slowly between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I had a full schedule: workouts, hockey games for both Kyle and Jamie, and school. Kyle helped Cassidy and I carry all of our stuff down to Tyler's car. Jamie was with Clarissa already at the airport.

"Hey, so I'll call you." He tells me and I nod as we hug tightly. I kiss his cheek and he smiles and I laugh.

"I will call you too. I'm going to just relax. Call me after every game?" I raise an eyebrow

"Of course." I kiss him again and we make out for a bit.

"Sus!" Cassidy yells from the car and I blush as I pull away.

"I have to go. I'll see you later." I giggle as I get into the car. Kyle had games he had to stay on campus for. We drove away and I looked down at my phone.

"Oh get over yourself." Cassidy laughs and Tyler rolls his eyes.

Tyler's POV

Watching Kyle and Susannah hug made me jealous for some reason. I knew I had no reason to be mad. As soon as they started kissing, I went onto my phone waiting for them to be done, that's when Cassidy yelled at them. I look at her as she gets into the car upset and all I wanted to do was hug her.

"You'll survive." I tease her and she laughs

"I know I will. I just don't get to see my boyfriend for a month." She groans

"Same." Cassidy laughs

"Yeah." She agrees as I drive them to the airport.

"Liam's coming with us to Montreal. So you'll see him then." I point out

"I know. But like then you guys fly back the next day."

"Fair." I sigh

"It just sucks." Susannah pouts. I didn't know if this is how she reacted when we were separated for months. I would like to hope she was this attached to me. I really didn't know why I kept on thinking about our relationship. I was single, which is probably why I think I thought about her so much. I was also scared for her, because I had a deep feeling that Kyle was definitely going to hurt her. From how much the two of us play hockey and talk, he's definitely how I was when I was his age, and I did a lot of stupid shit.

We got to the airport and they got out. We did a group hug before they went into the airport.

I went to Jamie's house to see if he wanted to go work out. I needed to blow off some steam.

"Hey, we're going to the gym." I say as I walk in.

"Alright." He agrees and we get into my car. I drive us to a cross fit place, and we do a long workout, "You feeling okay?" He asks as we walk out

"Yeah, just stressed." I give in.

"About what?"

"Sus was just really upset about leaving Kyle." I say

"Are you still into her?" Jamie asks curiously

"No. Well kind of, but that's not the point. What's the point is that kid is going to destroy her."

"What do you mean?" He asks

"He's us. Like when we were younger."

"I mean yeah. She'll be fine." He shrugs

"Are you serious?" I ask a little shocked

"She'll be fine. She knows exactly what she's getting herself into. They're not in love. It's just a fun thing for the two of them. She'll want something serious in like a year, and he'll want to keep fucking around. He'll win some rookie of the year award, and they'll break up. He's going to be a hot shot. We all know that. I'm just going to let her be happy until he starts to be a jerk, and then we'll pull them apart."
