Chapter 44

Susannah's POV

"So you broke your nose when you fell on your face?" I ask Kyle as we walk out

"Yeah. You know the floor is hard." He says as he wraps an arm around me as we walk out.

"I'm not buying it." I say as I look up at him and he sighs

"Do you really want to know what happened?" He asks as Cassidy's waiting outside

"Yes." I nod

"Tyler and I got into a fight on the ice, we were punching each other and he went for my face."

"Why were you fighting?"

"We don't like being around each other, and we were together all weekend." He shrugs

"I don't particularly like a lot of girls, but I don't physically hurt them."

"He just hates me Sus. It's nothing. Don't worry about it."

"I don't want you two hanging out." I sigh, "I don't want you to risk your career."

"I won't." He smiles nodding before we kiss. We go out and I get into the car.

"So who won?" Cassidy giggles

"Technically Tyler, but it was a cheap shot! Jamie was trying to separate us, and he sucker punched me." Kyle groans

"You need to learn how to fight better." I giggle as I put my head on his shoulder

"Goalies rarely fight, but I'll learn." He sighs and I smile

"Thank you. I cannot be in fear every time you play the Stars next year." I sigh and he smiles as he kisses my head

"I know. Thank you." He agrees as we go back to campus, "My coach is going to kill me though." He laughs

"Yeah. You only have one regular season game left." I say and he rubs my leg. We go back to his room and I get onto his bed as he goes to take a shower. I lay down and play on my phone before he comes back.

"Hey." He smiles as we make out for a bit

"You want to maybe lock the door?" I raise an eyebrow giggling

"Hell yeah." He nods quickly. After we finish, we cuddle in his bed for a while before he has to go lifting. I see a text from Tyler, and I am livid. I call him on the way back to my room.

"Hey, why are you calling me?" I ask as I go into my room

"Hey." He laughs, "I thought we should talk." He says

"You should probably talk to Kyle. You did physically assaulted him. I cannot believe you did that." I groan

"Okay, maybe I did, but he was punching right back."

"You're older! You're such a dick. Why do you two hate each other? Jamie or Jordie don't do this to Liam. It's immature and honestly pathetic." I say as I open the door

"He was being annoying."

"Whatever. Just leave me alone." I sigh as I hang up.

"Who were you talking to?" Cassidy laughs as I sit next to her on the couch

"Tyler." I roll my eyes

"You still love him." She giggles as she moves to tickle me

"Stop." I sigh as I pull my hair up into a ponytail.

"You do though, don't you?"

"Yeah."

"When are you breaking up with Kyle?"
