Chapter 43

Jamie's POV

"You need to cut it out." I tell Tyler once the girls go to the bathroom, "Kyle's not going to say anything to you because of the hierarchy or the fact you made his sister so happy this weekend, but cut it out or I will personally make sure Monty doesn't play you. Test me. I dare you."

"Whatever. She still loves me." Tyler rolls his eyes, "Let's just cut all this shit out. I don't like you Kyle. I'm always going to be around, so deal with it."

"I am. I just treat her better than you did. That's why she's still with me." Kyle finally speaks up as Susannah walks up to the table, and they go. Once they're out the door I look at Tyler.

"I want you two together, but the bigger asshole you are to Kyle, the more she'll resent you." I tell him honestly

"Alright." He sighs and nods, "We almost kissed yesterday."

"Yeah. I'm not surprised. You were being nice. She likes that part of you the best. You're a good guy when you're not putting on this persona." I say as Cassidy walks back. I pay and we get up to go. We go back to SMU and I get out there as well to go to Clarissa's room. I'd just drive my car back that Susannah was using. I get in behind a student to her building and go up to her floor. I knock on her door and her roommate opens it up.

"Hey, um is Clarissa in there?" I ask laughing a bit

"Yeah." She smiles, "I was just leaving." She lets me in and grabs her bag before she leaves. Clarissa had on headphones while her back faced me. The door shutting made her turn around and she squealed a bit.

"Hey." She smiles as she gets up and hugs me.

"Hey. Are you still not feeling well?" I ask as I feel her forehead.

"No. I am feeling 100% better. No fever, no vomiting, I am so happy." She smiles as she kisses me. I smile as I run my fingers through her soft hair as we kiss.

"I'm so glad. I hate seeing you sick." I laugh

"Yeah. I slept so much. I didn't get to get my usual Jamie dose a day."

"Well I'd rather you be healthy than forcing you to see me." I smile as we sit on her bed.

"Me too. Plus your FaceTime calls made everything better."

"Good." I smile before she kisses me. I laugh a bit as she moves closer to me, "No. Not until you're 200%. I'm not risking you getting sicker."

"Jamie." She groans

"I know. I just wanted to say hi. I'm practicing with Kyle and a few of his teammates in an hour."

"Alright. Well I love you." She giggles

"I love you too. Dinner tonight? My place?" I ask

"Yeah." She nods

"Great, I'll pick you up around 6. Then we can take a nice steamy shower together." I laugh and she groans before we kiss again. I went to Susannah's dorm and called her to give me my keys.

"Hey. Sorry." She smiles as she hands me the keys, "Are you okay?" She asks

"Yeah. I just have to deal with Kyle and Tyler together on a rink for a few hours."

"I'm sorry." She sighs, "I'd have Liam there."

"I know. I already texted him."

"Yeah. They could seriously injure each other, and with the draft coming up, it's nerve-wrecking. The Senators, Islanders and Wild are watching him, he's talking with management. Like they told him what he can and cannot do right now, almost a contract deal type of thing. I just want him to be happy, and if Tyler fucks this up I will kill him."
