Chapter 14

I have to admit, for the first time ever, I was nervous while getting ready for a hockey game. I slipped on Tyler's jersey he had given me with a pair of jeans and sneakers. I was wearing a lace bodysuit underneath it though so we could have some fun in his room after the game.

"Are you in the box?" Cassidy asks as I put everything in my purse

"Yeah. You?" I raise an eyebrow

"No. I'm not a WAG. It's going to be weird not having you with me for games. I'm sitting with Cadyn." She laughs

"Well have fun. I think I'll probably just end up sleeping over at Tyler's." I say and she laughs

"What are you wearing under that jersey?" She asks raising an eyebrow

"Just a tank top?" I laugh as there's a knock on our door and it's Cadyn.

"It's totally lingerie!" She squeals as I go to the door

"Stop!" I blush laughing as I open it up. Cadyn was wearing Jason's jersey and we brought her in.

"Alright. So game plan, we'll pregame a bit in the parking lot of the arena." Cassidy smiles and I roll my eyes. We go downstairs and I drive us to the arena. Cassidy had her set of keys to drive back.

I had the special parking voucher for the car so I was with everyone else. I saw a few of the wives' getting out with their kids.

"So we're doing shots here?" Cadyn asks laughing

"Yeah, why not?" Cassidy asks, "We usually do it before every game."

"I love it." She smiles and I pull out some vodka. We do a few rounds of shots before we get out. Cadyn and Cassidy go through one entrance and I go through another. I go down to the locker room and squeal as I see Tyler. I barely notice anyone around him, it was only him I was paying attention to. I was feeling the alcohol, but it wasn't obvious I was drink or tipsy.

"Hey." He laughs as he hugs me and I kiss him happily, "You've so been drinking. In the parking lot?" He asks and I nod laughing

"Yeah. Cassidy and I did it growing up. Figured we should do it now too." I laugh

"You two are crazy." He sighs and I hug him again. I knew he was nervous but I wanted to show him how excited I was for his career.

"Jesus Sus." Jamie groans, "How are you getting all of this alcohol? You're not 21."

"A mixture of people." I smile

"Stop buying her stuff Tyler." Tyler rolls his eyes

"It's 18 in Canada. I'm not doing anything bad." He laughs

"Stop talking." He says

"It's true." I mumble as we make out for a bit before I hear everyone getting up from their lockers, "I'll be upstairs. I'll come down after the game. I have a surprise for you." I giggle and wink before I get into the elevator up.

"Susannah, it's so good to see you." Jennifer, Spezza's wife, smiles at me.

"You too." I laugh as we hug.

"I'll introduce you." She smiles and shows me around the room. She had watched me grow up since I was 10, so it was weird finally being in the box with them.

"Thank you." I laugh as we finish. I end up hanging out mostly with a woman named Sarah. She was only a few years older than me, but she was dating Stephen Jones.
