George was not one to hate waiting, but as the guests filled the beautifully decorated venue and Safeiarrah and Fred's absence became longer as each second passed, he was losing his mind from sheer nervousness.

A hand placed itself on his back, slowly rubbing it as a form of comfort. "They'll be here in a minute, don't worry." Lee comforted, smiling towards the guests that arrived.

The latter leaned a little, "How am I supposed to not worry when we haven't heard anything from our best man and best woman? They're supposed to be earlier than us!" George lowly panicked.

"George," Lee made sure George did not see him rolling his eyes at him, "The guests here are just your huge arse family. They're too early. It's like almost everyone camped outside." He said, looking behind to see groups of fire heads laughing and chatting.

"Finally!" George exclaimed, hands lifted in relief as he spotted Safe and Avi's figures.

They walked, arms linked with such elegance that Safe surely carried the most. She was wearing a lilac puffed organza dress, the skirt flowing on each step she took. Her simple silver heels marked the red carpet floor with grace and royalty.

"Sorry, we took a bit longer to arrive, just wanted to make sure I looked dashing enough on her side," Avi explained, eyes focusing on Safe. It was as if she was the only one there. He was deeply charmed and he couldn't explain how.

"It's alright, mate," George said, making sure his tone was convincing. He turned to Safe, "Thought you were ditching me," He whispered to her as Safe gave him kisses on both his cheeks.

Safe kept her laughter in, "Was he panicking?" She asked Lee after moving on to give him the same pair of soft kisses.

"A wee bit," Lee replied in a joking manner. His eyes looked past Safeiarrah, all the way to where an identical figure of the man beside him stood. "Fred's here too, stop worrying, love." He exclaimed to George.

George rolled his eyes, "I don't know how he's just arriving. He could've stayed at the Burrow like us so we were closer to the venue."

Safe gulped at the sight of Fred walking in the front hall... alone. No other woman aside from him. Only him. His blazer fit to hug his muscular build. And those hands... the hands that gripped George's and Lee's and Avi's hands.

It was a sin. Sinful image. She had to will her mind to stop her body from shaking, to make an utter embarrassment of herself. But god that suit clothed him so well it was as if he was already naked.

"Looking nice, Safe," Fred greeted as he offered her the same hand.

She didn't expect that at all. She expected a direct hug. That's what it used to be their greeting. Shaking his hand was too formal, too... unfamiliar.

But she held his hand softly, felt his envelope hers, and shook it. "You aren't bad yourself," She smiled thinly. Her heart was galloping in ways she couldn't understand. Why now? Why feel that way? She was supposed to be moving on.

Wasn't she?

They looked at each other with masked stares. There was something more in the way they smiled awkwardly. And despite the people around them thinking of it as something to do about their past relationship, it wasn't.

It was more than that. More than the way the tension built up around the two of them, between their legs. More than the way their hands stayed clutched. There was more of what it was and Safeiarrah knew she wasn't going to acknowledge that fact.

"Alright," George clapped his hands together, defusing the tension that was visibly hovering around the two. "Why don't you check things out if there's everything good or needs some tweaking while Lee and I get a good rest? We got best man and woman for a reason." He chuckled.
