What if we weren't scared
We'd laugh out loud for the world to hear
We'd sing our songs in the broad daylight
We'd hold hands walking down the street
What if we didn't have to hide
I'd lay next to you, my head on your shoulder
I'd run to you in slow motion, like in the movies
I'd declare it to everyone that I love you
What if we needn't be camouflaged
You'd sit with me on the grass counting stars
You'd pinch my cheeks and tease me around
You'd interlace our legs sitting on the couch
What if we neglect all the "what if's"
Our love is our interlocked hands
Our love is a song only meant for us to sing
Our love is called ours for a reason
