Looking back at these memories
For I lived for what seems like centuries
Since the day that I was born
I've had no idea that I'd come to a day where I'm torn
So broken, and left behind
But I'll always have you by my side
It's been more than a year since I've left home
Feels like I've turned into sea foam
You always kept me grounded
By your love, I am surrounded
If only I could escape this dark place
And be somewhere where no one knows my face
Someplace to be wild and free
Someplace where I could be me
It's selfish of me I know
But can you truly blame me though
I've went on days with sleepless nights
Too weak to turn on the lights
I've cried like never before
But now I can't take it anymore
I'm building my castle on the hill
Got no spare time to kill
Looking beyond the horizon
My sky is now a bit lighten
Step by step I'm leaving my shadow
Now it's time for my darkness to glow
