I learned to be more compassionate to those around me
Cause if they didn't know the battles I went through
And where I got my scars from, then God only knows
All the wars they're fighting while smiling at my face
I learned life is actually worth living, even in the dark times
So many pretty things I would have never known
And finding people where love between us is unconditional
It is hard to ignore all the misfortunes and tragedies
If they didn't exist this place would've been heaven
This goes to show that our existence is a moment in time
One day we'll dust away whether it hurts or not
If that day comes for me, I'd wanna go knowing
That I have lived a life full of stories that sound like fairytales
That I have once made somebody's day a little bit happier
That I have loved and been loved with all our perfect imperfections
I know I've hurt people whether intentionally or not
Selfishly, I hope they find it in their heart to forgive me
I've made mistakes and I'm learning to repair and thrive
My story isn't one written on paper to be read with some coffee on the side
It goes beyond what's lettered on the spacious lines
Those who I've met along my path still remembering my name
Even if our encounter was merely momentarily
Holds such a significant weight on how much we affect each other's lives
That from a simple, personal and an enchanting rendezvous
Becomes a dear memory we hold onto for infinity
