I still can't forgive you
For leaving us deserted
We raised ourselves without you
We flourished, we rose
We reached skies high standing on clouds
A decade later, you come crawling back
Into the arms of those you've hurt
Begging for forgiveness of the once broken
You decided to leave, to be erased
In spite of us on our knees
Don't you get it, you left !
I'm mad at you but never let it show
Guess the actress in me should win an award
For no one will ever know
We all survived we all lived on
We cried, we celebrated but you weren't there
Everyone around us talked
About the one thing we have lost
Maybe we didn't lose, you're the one who did
Pioneers in their own fields
Success after defeat
You tried returning to the victorious
But is it our job to give you a second chance
Is it our job to forgive and forget
Among those around me I couldn't
And I won't apologise
For all the pain and hurt you've shown us
We were patient through it all
For all the dim lights you've shun out
Our halos shined brighter than ever
You left ••• again
But this time it wasn't a choice of your own
Your lifeline went straight
"Too many reasons but death is inevitable"
You left with apologies in your debt
I didn't want to believe it as I hoped
That one day you'd actually stay
