Your picture on my watch
I carry my heart on my wrist
What I'm feeling can anyone explain ?
It's quite the irony that I don't know what to say
When we spent our nights talking till daylight
When nothing was off bounds
We fought to stay awake
Red shirts and white jackets
Can't remember what I was even wearing
Now I have to think of what to ask
And what to start with
It's a new territory for me
When I'm a natural at keeping the conversation going
And it's also new that I don't slow down to walk at your pace
I'm not on your left anymore
I'm ahead and you're not even looking
I miss you something fierce
Beyond any words could comprehend
But is it you that I want ?
I'm letting you go, along with all those birthday gifts
The biggest on my list
I miss you and I'm okay with that
"See you whenever I see you"
