Chapter 48__Do you want to be my mistress?

"Meet Dorris,  my wife"
Everywhere went silent for a while. Not only Ava and Ray parents are surprised, even Dorris,  the butler and the servants around were dumb folded.
It was after a few minutes that Mr Dalton recovered from his shock.
"Your wife? Ray, this woman can only be a fling not your wife",  the man told his son.
Ray smirked.
" Really?", he asked.
"Yes, your father is right",  his mother added.
Ray made a sad face.
" What to do? ", he asked.
Then added.
" We are already married legally",
Mrs Dalton widen her eyes.
"Murray! How dare you? You got married without my approval? Are you going rebellious?",  Mr Dalton asked.
" Ray, you used to be an obedient boy. Is this vixen teaching you to go against your own parents?", She asked.
"Don't call my wife a vixen",  He told Mrs Dalton.
Even Ava couldn't believe her ears. He actually got married without informing his parent. Ray did not look like a son that will do that. She must have probably underestimated Dorris.
That wench is actually capable than she thought.
Mr Dalton is short of word. His son actually registered his marriage without telling them. He was very pissed.
" You are a bastard, Ray", The man blurted. No wonder the vixen was so braved the other day. It's because she is married to Ray. She probably thought nothing will stop her.
Mr Dalton was even more determined to get rid of Dorris.
"Ray, whether you like it or not you will end up with Ava",  Mrs Dalton said. She is angry too. Her once filial son is now doing things without her approval and she blamed everything om Dorris
Ray smiled. He knew Dorris will be surprised but he did it for her sake.
" Will she like to be a mistress?", he asked.
Ava grind on her teeth.
'How dare this bastard mock her like this?'
Mr and Mrs Dalton were angry too.
Ray turned to Ava ignoring the ugly expressions on their faces.
"Say, do you want to be my mistress?",  he  asked her.
" Don't worry, my wife would know. If she knew, she wouldn't mind. She can just slap you and pour hot water on you", Ray mocked.
Ava face turned uglier with her veins popping out. She was so embarrassed.
She managed to control her temper.
"Don't worry, I will wait",  she said.
Ray raise his brows.
Ava smiled and added.
" I will wait for both of you to divorce. It is not as if your relationship could last. You guys are not compatible at all so it is only normal to separate later. You will soon get tired of each other. It is just a short time affection", Ava said smiling.
Ray was infuriated by Ava words but Dorris squeezed his hands.
"Miss Ava words will only strengthen our relationship. Miss Ava will have to wait forever if she insisted on waiting",  Dorris said.
Ava felt insulted again.
" Do you think so? That I will have to wait forever to get what I want?", Ava asked.
"Here I think that I'm more capable",  Ava added.
Dorris smile again.
" I'm afraid your capability will be useless here. This is not something you can solve with money or power. It is the matters of the heart.", Dorris said.
Ava scoffed.
"We shall see",  She said, smiling.
Dorris gave a brighter smile.
" All the best", Dorris said.
