Dorris sigh.
"Actually, Murray parents wanted him to get married to someone else but he didn't want to. That's actually why we got married early and secretly.", She started.
" You mean your in laws are the kind of rich people that valued family background? They will only allow their son to marry from their upper class circle.", Ashley asked.
"Exactly. They want him to marry a business partner daughter", Dorris responded.
" My God! Parents being against marriage is not good. What are you guys planning to do?", Ashley asked.
Dorris wished she knew what to do. Meeting Ray's parents had triggered the fear in her. She knew that if she had met his parents before getting married to Ray, she won't marry him. She was afraid for her own peace of mind and for her family. What if they hurt her family members? She knew how extreme the rich could go. After all, It's always showing on television.
Dorris confidence in her marriage wavered. She wondered if she was wrong to go against Ray parents. She wondered if she was wrong to marry someone just like that? She wondered if their love will win this up coming battle.
Dorris is afraid and confused.
She don't know what to do. Family is Important and Ray is part of her family now so she couldn't leave Ray. She wanted to protect her family__Including Ray.
She wondered if she can do it.
She hoped she can. She hoped to win this.
"I don't even know. His parents sent for me and I went to their house alone without telling Ray." Dorris continued, "They harassed me. They ask me to leave their son alone. They said to leave Ray or my family will be in trouble. What do I do now?", Dorris asked her friend.
Ashley sigh.
"I don't know my friend. ", Ashley replied.
" Am I suppose to divorce my husband?", Dorris asked.
"Did they know you guys are married?", Ashley queried.
" No. I didn't tell them. I think Ray had a reason for asking me to keep it a secret. At their place, I stood up to them and I added that I'm not going to leave their son. Now, My confidence wavered", Dorris Replied.
"Why?", Ashley asked her friend.
" Murray said we are going to their place tonight", Dorris said.
"You told Ray what they did to you?", Ashley asked.
" No, I didn't. His mother even slapped me. I'm I suppose to tell Murray? I'm sure he is going to settle the scores with his parent but I'm afraid to be the cause of quarrels between parents and child",
Ashley sigh. She understand what Dorris is saying but she still think Dorris should have explained to her husband.
"You don't want to go?", Ashley asked.
" My husband wants us to go. I think he wanted to introduce me to them. Even his fiancée is disturbing me. I think she likes Murray...."
"Every women love Ray", Ashley puts in.
" Should we beat the bitch?", Ashley asked again.
"She is a rich heiress. She is pretty and sophisticated. I'm jealous of her", Dorris stated.
Ashley sigh.
" Don't worry. In as much Ray chose you, you still have the highest chance of winning. Be bold and face this. You have to fight for your love", Ashley said.
"Thanks", Dorris muttered.
" I'm going back to work, babe", Ashley said and stood up drinking the coffee.
"Okay. Thanks", Dorris said.
" Dorris, fighting", Ashley told Dorris and walked out of the Cafe while Dorris watched her retreating back.
