Ray is in love!

Chapter 41__I must be so charming that.......

Dorris and Ashley rushed into the kitchen. They heard Douglas screaming.
"What happened?",  Ashley asked, concern written all over her face.
" You won't believe what Ray__ Oops!__brother in law just said.", Douglas said.
"Do you need to cause panic in the house",  Louis scolded.
" I'm sorry Dad. I'm just over excited. You need to thank my brother in law for me", Douglas said.
"This one that you are calling him brother in law. It seems Ray has finally gained your favour", Ashley joked
Ray who is drying the dishes silently smirked. He gained this brother in law favour too quickly than he expected.
" He has indeed won my favour. I got his back from now on. I mean he just offered me a job in the company. ", Douglas said happily. Then he asked,  " brother in law, what will I be doing?", he asked.
"What do you want to do? A secretary,  work in the HR or the marketing or sales department.",  Ray told him.
" Can I take a while to decide?", Douglas asked.
"No problems",  Ray said.
Dorris did not forget to add.
" Don't forget you need to start from a lower position", She told him.
"Of course",  Douglas replied.
" Thank you Ray", Louis said.
"It's nothing uncle",  Ray said.

" Thank you Ray", Dorris said as they entered the pent hoise that evening.
"For?",  Ray asked removing his shoes.
" For everything", Dorris replied smiling.
"Dorris, we are married and everything I own is yours so stop saying thank you to me. Thank you is meant to be used among people with a distant relationship",  he said.
Dorris laughed.
" Is that how you want to define thank you?", she asked him.
"Seriously that how it is."
They entered the room.
"Will you freshen up first?",  he asked.
" yes", she replied.
She turned her back at him.
"My Zipper pls?",  she told him.
"I am happy to meet your family today, Dorris.",  Ray said as he undo her zipper.
Dorris just gave a light smile.

Dorris drove  out of the agency. Somebody waved her down.
She stopped and whine down the glasses.
" Miss Dorris?", the stranger asked her.
"Yes. How can I help you?",  she asked again.
" I'm Mr Dalton assistant", the man said.
"Ray?",  She asked.
" No. His father", the man replied.
Dorris kept quiet for a while.
"How can I help you?",  She asked after a while.
" Mr Dalton will like to see you", The man replied.
"Oh! Where is he?",  she asked.
" At the mansion", the assistant replied.
"Go on. I will drive after you",  Dorris said. She wondered why Dorris father will want to see her but whatever the reason is, she have to head to his summon. After all, she is married to his son.

Dorris got to the Dalton's mansion and she wowed at the structure before her. She loved the exterior design and when she entered the house she even liked the interior better. Dorris is dressed in a simple white dress and she is wearing simple accessories and she had no make up on.
The Butler welcomed them( Dorris and Mr Dalton assistant). He then led them to the living room.
Dorris saw a man in his fifties and a woman in her forties in the living room.
" Hello sir. Hello ma", she said bowing slightly.
She met Mrs Dalton gaze and it was not friendly at all.
Dorris ignored it and kept her smile. Mr Dalton gave her a light smile.
"You can wait",  He told his assistant who stood in one corner with the butler.
" Hello, Miss Dorris", Mr Dalton greeted.
Dorris smiled.
"Thanks for coming",  he added.
" It's fine", Dorris said.
"Are you not wondering why I invited you?",  He asked.
Dorris was expecting them to offer her a seat but they just left her standing there.
"The assistant mentioned that you're Ray's father so I have to come even though I have prior appointments",  Dorris replied smiling.
" Oh! Have your seat", Mr Dalton said.
Dorris smiled and sat down.
"You must be wondering why we invited you here right?",  This time, it is Mrs Dalton who asked.
" It's probably because you found out the relationship between Ray and I", Dorris responded.
"Well, you're right.",  Mr Dalton said.
" You should be aware that Ray had a fiancee right?", Ray mum asked.
"Fiancee? Did he? He never mentioned his engagement to anybody to me",  Dorris responded.
" Well, he had a fiancee and your involvement with him is delaying things between his fiancee and him", Mr Dalton said.
Dorris Raise her brow.
Why is all this scene familiar like this? She must have seen too much K- drama.
"You're aware you are just a fling right? Your relationship with him is just for the spur if the moment",  Ray mum said.
" He is just flirting with you", she added.
"Do you think so too?",  Dorris asked Then she sigh.
" Well, I think I'm so charming that a man will have his fiancee and still be flirting with me", she said sarcastically.
"You must be thinking that is an achievement",  Ray mum said.
" Am I? Well, I really don't mind it even If he is really using me.", Dorris said, smiling sweetly.
Mr Dalton cleared his throat.
"Ray wants to get married",  he said.
" Really? He should go ahead. I am not stopping him", Dorris said.
"I want you to stop seeing him", The man said.
Dorris clenched her fist.
" That's is up for both of us to decide. You can't have a say in our relationship,  Mr Dalton", Dorris said grimly.
She needs to show them she had watched several K-drama. All this stunt can not walk on her.
"What?",  Mr Dalton asked.
" I mean,to end or start a relationship is between the couples alone no third party could decide for us", Dorris stated confidently and firmly.
"State your price",  Mrs Dalton suddenly put in.
" Pardon?", Dorris asked.
"Tell me, How much do you want?", Ray mum asked.
Dorris is almost losing her temper. Are rich people usually this awful?
" Are you sure you can afford what I want? I don't think so.",Dorris shook her head.
"No matter what angle I looked from Ray is still the best option. I'm sure he would be able to give me what I want not you. I am not going to stop seeing Ray",  Dorris said.
" You shameless woman", Mrs Dalton said and slap her.
Dorris held her Cheeks.
"Are we done here? I want to leave",  she said holding back her tears. She did not remember the last time someone slapped her.
'It's fine. Endure it all for Ray', she kept assuring herself.
" Miss Dorris,  I give you 48 hours to stop seeing Ray or I will force you to"
Dorris did not say anything because if she tried to open her mouth, she will cry. She just rushed out of the house without looking back.
