Chapter 11 - An Awkward Dinner

Ron, Jorden, Flo, Harry and Callan all follow Fred and George down the hall. Y/N goes to follow them but Hermione takes hold of her hand stopping her.

"Y/N" Hermione calls and the Ravenclaw looks into her girlfriend's gorgeous honey-brown eyes filled with worry. "Are you sure you're alright" Hermione asks and Y/N sighs but nods her head

"I'm fine my love," Y/N answers and places a sweet kiss on her lips "I'm just a little out of it from the dementor attack"

Hermione kisses her cheek and smiles at her warmly "okay we should probably get some food in you after this. That should make you feel better"

Y/N smiles and takes the bushy-haired girl's hand "come on" she says and the couple follows the others, hand in hand.

The couple spots the group huddled around Fred who holds the ear as they listen in close to the meeting happening below.

"If anyone has a right to know, it's Y/N. If it wasn't for her we wouldn't even know Voldemort was back, and Harry by extension" Mr Leverett, Callan's dad says

"They aren't children, Molly" Sirius says

"But they aren't adults either" Mrs Weasley replies

"Harry isn't James Sirius, and Y/N is not Audrey. As much as they look like our friends" Lupin's voice says

"And Harry's not your son," Mrs Weasley says

"He's as good as, just as much and Y/N is my daughter"

Suddenly Ginny joins the group and listens in closely. "Hey little Weasley" Y/N says softy

"Hey Ginny" Harry also replies with a smile

"Hey you two," Ginny says with a small smile and they go back to listening in.

"How touchingly paternal Black, perhaps Potter will grow up to be a felon just like his godfather"

"Now you stay out of this Snivellus"

"Snape's part of the Order," Flo asks and the group looks just as confused. Suddenly Hermione's cat Crookshanks starts tampering with the ear below.

"Get it off quick" Fred says as he tries to up the ear.

"Crookshanks, stop it" Hermione whispers trying to get the cat's attention

"Get off you bloody cat," Ron says quietly

"Get it up," George says but Crookshanks gets hold of the ear and pulls it right off the thread and starts to chew on it.

"I really hate your cat Hermione," Y/N says and the Gryffindor girl pouts

Hermione frowns and looks down at the ginger cat "bad Crookshanks"

Eventually, the meeting finishes and the group were called down for dinner. Harry and their friends were already seated and conversing amongst themselves. Some of the tension from their talk is gone. Ginny and the twins were also joining in conversation with Tonks. Mr Weasley sat at the other end talking to Aiden Leveret quietly amongst themselves. Mr leveret looked up at Y/N and smiled kindly.

"Y/N how are you," Mr Leveret asks and Y/N smiles kindly

"I'm doing alright Aiden you," Y/N asks

"Never better" Mr Leveret replies.

Another person enters the room. There stands aunt Monica with an unreadable expression on her face, followed by Remus and Sirius.

"Hey kiddo's" aunt Monica replies and kisses Harry and Y/N's cheek before sitting down as Mrs Weasley plates up their food. Y/N and Hermione sit next to each other, opposite Harry and next to Sirius who is at the head of the table. The Ravenclaw eyes her aunt curiously.
