Chapter 5 - The Gala

It's the night of the Gala and Y/N is in her bathroom staring at herself in the mirror. Today had not been a good day. Her scar was stinging and burning in pain and Harry's was as well. This already put's the Ravenclaw in an awful mood. All she wanted to do was stay in bed and not go out and socialise.

She does up her cufflinks in the mirror and really looks at herself. Even with the light coverage of make-up, the Ravenclaw looks exhausted. Y/N wore a dark green three-piece suit with black lines to create a checkered pattern. She wore a white button-up collared shirt with a few buttons open at the top and for accessories she went for a few silver rings and earings to match the silver cufflinks. Y/N leans on the marble benchtop and looks herself in the mirror and takes a deep breath.

"You've got this Y/N. You've done this before" the Ravenclaw mumbles and their is a knock on her bedroom door.

Harry opens the door and smiles weakly "Hey, you ready to get out there"

Y/N nods "ready as I will ever be"

Harry says a places a comforting hand on her shoulder "I know today hasn't been the best day with the scar and all, I know I feel it too. But try and enjoy yourself alright, we're going to see all our friends again"

Y/N smiles and hugs Harry tightly "Yeah and thanks Harry, I don't know what I'd do without you"

Harry smirks "You're stronger than you think"

Y/N fixes Harry's glasses on his nose "and so are you"

Harry holds out his hand "come on they're waiting"

Y/N smiles and takes Harry's hand as they exit the bedroom.

Hermione stands in the foyer of the Magnolis Manor. To be honest, the Gryffindor girl didn't know what to expect when she saw the manor. She definitely didn't expect it to be as big as this and this was only one room.

She arrived with the Weasley's, all of them to be exact. Bill and Charles arrived at the Burrow to attend the Gala as well. Hermione, Ron, Fred, Geoge and Ginny looked around the room in utter shock.

There were a bunch of people already there talking, laughing and drinking champagne as a classical band played a tune in the background. Hermione wore a lovely pastel yellow cocktail dress and Ron a beige suit.

"Alright now everyone must be on your best behaviour," Mrs Weasley says and the teens nod

"Alright mum we get it," Bill says and Fred and George smirk

"You've been going on about behaviour before we even arrived," Fre says and Mrs Wealsey frowns

"I'm watching you two, no gags or jokes" Mrs Weasley replies

"Yes mother," George says and Mrs Weasley nods and goes over to Mr Weasley

"Quit fiddling with the tie, Ron" Ginny scolds and Ron does

"The outfit looks fine mate," Charles says

"It looks better than the dress robes for the Yule Ball" Fred comments

"Don't remind me," Ron says and Ginny and Hermione giggle

"Ron, Hermione," Flo's voice says and eventually she comes into view and hugs Ron and Hermione tightly "you guys came"

"Like we would miss this" Ron says and hugs Flo that lingers just a second longer. Flo smiles brightly, she wore a light purple cocktail dress and her hair was down. Two figures walk up next to her, a man with curly brown locks and brown eyes like Flo's and a woman with blonde hair that looks just like the Ravenclaw girl.
