Chapter 9 - The Dursley's

It's the end of summer break and the sun is starting to set and the air is hot. Two figures sit on an abandoned playground, one of them is Harry and the other Y/N. They don't talk, they just sit in comfortable silence. The Ravenclaw has a copy of the daily prophet in her hand and reads it quietly. Disappearances have been happening in the wizarding world and U/N has an idea of who is behind it.

Aunt Monica had to go away on a trip and didn't want to leave them by themselves, so as a last resort the pair had to stay at the Dursley's on Privet Drive for the weekend.

Y/N now understood why Harry hated the Dursley's so much. They remind her of the Malfoy's, cruel and vile people that hate witches and wizards. And Dudley, Godric he was a total pain. Y/N wanted nothing more than to punch that boy square in the jaw.

"We've only been here a day and I already hate this" Y/N says

"Me too." Harry replies "she could've left us alone at the manor"

"I guess our aunt is a little paranoid with Voldermort returning" Y/N says and Harry nods

The sound of harsh laughter reaches the pairs ears. Y/N looks up to see Harry's cousin Dudley approaching with his gang. They are cracking crude jokes and laughing hysterically.

"Oh its you two" Dudley says unamused

"What should we do with them, Big D" one of Dudley's mates jeers

"Beat up another ten year old," Harry asks

"This one deserved it" Dudley replies

Y/N laughs "Big D, cool name" she jokes

"Shut up!" Dudley yells and Harry stands up ready to fight.

"Five against two, you're brave" Harry replies

"At least I'm not afraid of my pillow. Dad, dad help me, he's going to kill me" Dudley mocks and his mates burst with laughter then he looks to Y/N "and you don't kill Cedric. Who's Cedric your boyfriend"

"You shut your mouth," Y/N spits

"He's going to kill me mum" Dudley mocks "where are your parents Potter. Are they dead-"

Y/N's jaw tightens as she fumes with rage. Suddenly Harry whips out his wand and points it at Dudley's throat

"Harry" Y/N warns

Dudley's face goes pale white, his eyes filled with terror. The gang on the other hand still laugh as Harry clenches the wand in his hand and Dudley squirms.

"Not so brave are you," Harry says

"Don't point that thing at me" Dudley says

"He can do as he likes," Y/N says

Suddenly, a cool wind blows and the clouds cover the setting sun turning the sky an eery grey. Dudley's mates seem to scram at this point leaving just the three of them. Y/N gets a bad idea as she looks to the sky.

"We need to go Harry" Y/N says and the raven-haired boy drops his wand from Dudley's throat

"What did you two freaks do" Dudley says scared but the two wizards pay him no mind as they walk away from the playground to the street underpass, with Dudley following close behind.

Y/N's breath is cool and tinged with frost as it is now visible in the chilled air. The three of them begin to shiver as the lamps start to flicker and die out as they become covered in frost.

"I'm not liking this Harry" Y/N says drawing her wand from her jeans.

"What's happening," Dudley asks terrified as his voice trembles
