Chapter 19 - Alone

It's been a week since school started and everything seems to be quite normal. Y/N and Harry have finished their detention with Umbridge and the group has been focusing on their OWLs more than anything. Y/N managed to keep the scaring on her hand a secret from the others and so did Harry.

It was quite easy to avoid it from her friends as she would only really see them during classes and at meal times whereas with Hermione, it was slightly more difficult. The Ravenclaw was called away to hold quidditch trials so that took up the majority of her time and Hermione's prefect duties are late at night so they did really see each other unless they were studying together.

The couple was quite frustrated not being able to spend as much time together, but they made it work. Now, the group were sitting in the Gryffindor common room with a bunch of students as Fred and George were handing out their latest creations of sweets and jokes.

"Skiving Snackboxes," Fred yells gleefully

"Sweets that make you ill." George says as he hands some first years some puking pasties "Get out of class whenever you like."

"Obtain hours of pleasure from unprofitable boredom." Fred continues and smiles as one of the first years faces grows with boils "Care for another?"

Hermione rested her head on Y/N's shoulder as they read a copy of the daily prophet together. Jorden was teaching Callan how to play wizards chess and Harry watched but he also seemed deep in thought.

"I'm not asking you to write all of it for me." Ron's voice says as he enters the common room with Flo "I've been busy studying for these stupid OWL exams."

Flo rolls her eyes "I'll do the introduction. That's all"

Ron grins "Florence, you're honestly the most wonderful person I've ever met, and if I'm ever rude to you again-"

"Then she'll know you've gone back to normal" Jorden laughs and Flo joins him as she sits down next to Y/N.

Flo smiles and looks at Y/N and notices the scarring on her hand "Y/N what's wrong with your hand?"

Y/N looks up at Flo confused "what nothing's wrong"

Flo frowns and grabs hold of Y/N's robe and pulls it up reveal the scarred over words on her hand. Hermione looks to Y/N's and is shocked to what she sees. The skin is red on her girlfriends and hand and Hermione reaches out to examine it.

"Who did this" Flo asks "was it Umbridge"

Y/N nods and looks to Harry who show's the boys his "Yeah"

"You said she was making you write lines" Hermione says her voice full of concern.

"She is, but the quill we used has some sort of spell on it"

"It uses blood for ink, I think" Harry adds

"You've got to tell Dumbledore," Flo says

"No" Y/N and Harry both say

"Dumbledore's got enough on his mind right now." Harry says "and I don't want to give Umbridge the satisfaction"

"Bloody hell, Harry. The woman's torturing you" Jorden says

"If your parents knew about this mate-"

"Yeah well I haven't got any of those, have I, Ron?" Harry snaps and Ron stays silent and the raven-haired boy stands up and leaves the room. Hermione sighs and runs her fingers over Y/N scarred hand.

"You've really set him off this time Ron" Cal says and Ron looks awful

"I didn't mean to" Ron says "I was only trying to help"
