Y/N wakes up her body full of nerves. Today is Ravenclaw's first quidditch match of the season. They are versing Hufflepuff today and she hopes that they win today to show that she deserves to be captain despite her young age.
Some of the older years were hesitant that a fifth year was captain, usually it would go to older students but last years captain told Y/N to try out as she saw that she had potential to be a very good captain and is an exceptional quidditch player. She gets up and puts on a t-shirt, sweats and a practise jersey that she definitely plans on giving her girlfriend before the match starts.
The Ravenclaw walks down to the great hall for breakfast where she spots her friends. Jorden was dressed in similar attire to Y/N as he was a chaser for the Hufflepuff team.
"Hey mate you ready for Hufflepuff to beat your ass" Jorden says and Y/N laughs
"Are you sure about that, Ravenclaw might just beat yours" Y/N says with a smiles and Jorden grins
"Hey save the smack talk for the field" Flo says dressed in Ravenclaw colours and scarf proudly on display.
Y/N rolls her eyes sits next to Hermione who smiles at Y/N and places a hand on top of hers. "How are feeling"
"Fine just a little nervous" Y/N says and the Gryffindor nods
"Alright but eat something" Hermione says and Y/N sighs and puts some toast on her plate whilst the bushy-haired girl pours her some pumpkin juice.
"Well, my money's on Hufflepuff" Callan says and Y/N looks at the Slytherin boy horrified.
"So your betting against your childhood bestie. Rude" Y/N scoffs and Cal laughs
"Hufflepuff and Slytherin have a standing history" Cal says "and besides I will always bet against you because- you know, conflict of interest"
"Cheers Callan" Jorden says and Callan smirks at the Hufflepuff boy
"Just score the most points for me" Callan says with a wink and Jorden blushes and smiles
"Okay" the Hufflepuff says and Callan smiles widely "hey Y/N you ready to go"
Y/N finishes her breakfast and sculls the rest of her pumpkin juice "yep I am now"
"Aren't you forgetting something" Hermione says and Y/N grins
She leans down and kisses Hermione's lips tenderly and she grins "you better be cheering for me"
The Gryffindor smirks "I wouldn't cheer for anyone else"
Y/N and grins and takes off her quidditch sweater that has her number 17 and her last name on the back. She hands it to her girlfriend who blushes.
"Bloody hell Y/N what happened to your arm" Ron says and the Ravenclaw looks at her arm.
"Oh right, since dislocating my shoulder in third year by saving Harry, I've had to tape it to prevent it from happening again" Y/N says
"Hey it's not my fault you chose to save me" Harry says and Y/N laughs
"Would you rather be dead mate" Y/N says and Harry rolls his eyes. The Ravenclaw girl turns her attention back to her girlfriend. "Keep it warm for me" Y/N says and Hermione puts it on.
"Alright now get out of here otherwise you'll be late" Hermione says and Harry smirks
"Yeah and I don't think that would be a good impression of captain" Flo says and the group laughs as Jorden and Y/N walk away.
"Shut up Florence" Y/N says and walks out of the great hall.
