Chapter 13 - Letters

Y/N enters the living room where she spots her aunt talking to Aiden, Remus and Tonks. They all go quiet as Y/N enters and she looks at her aunt who has a stoic expression.

"Sorry to interrupt, aunt Monica can we talk," Y/N says timidly and her aunt nods and gets up from her seat and guides her to the piano room.

As Y/N walks in, she takes a seat on the piano stool and her aunt closes the door. "so what is it that you'd like to say"

"Can I start with I'm sorry" Y/N says and her aunt sighs "I was out of line, I know that I shouldn't have yelled and I shouldn't have swore at you,"

"You're right Y/N what you said was out of line," her aunt says "I know you're frustrated but taking it out on other people is not the answer. I thought I taught you to be better than that"

"You did," Y/N says quietly and her aunt sighs

"I accept your apology," Monica says and takes a seat next to her niece putting an arm around her shoulder "and I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have yelled at you like that"

"You had every right to though, I was being an ass," Y/N says and her aunt laughs

"Yeah but still. Its been very difficult at the ministry and I took some of my frustration out on you" her aunt says "and for that I'm sorry"

"I forgive you," Y/N says and her aunt kisses her head and the two embrace.

"They're taking a while," Jorden says referring to Harry and Mr Weasley. Y/N fiddles anxiously with her signet ring. Hermione places her hand gently on hers in an attempt to calm her.

"He'll be fine Y/N," Ron says

"You've got to be patient" Flo adds and Y/N huffs

"Patients isn't something Y/N knows" Callan laughs and Y/N frowns at the boy

"You're not funny Cal" Y/N replies and the he smiles

"Oh I'm hilarious and you know it" Cal smirks "we can at least try and distract ourselves from the hearing"

The group nod and Flo perks up "Hey Callan what house did you end up getting sorted into" she asks

"I got Slytherin" Cal says totally not bothered by it

"Maybe you can spy on Malfoy for us," Ron says and Cal grins

"Oh I was already planning on it," Cal says and the group laughs and Y/N smiles

"I've got a question," Jorden says to Callan "how close are you and Y/N"

"Are you insinuating that I liked Y/N romantically in our childhood" Cal says and Jorden looks almost embarrassed and Y/N bursts out laughing

"What's so funny," Jorden says looking at Y/N

"My dear friend is laughing because that couldn't be further from the truth," Callan says and Y/N finally pulls herself together

"We brought up as basically siblings," Y/N says and Cal nods

"So neither of you liked each other" Flo says

"I think they've both spelled it out that they didn't," Ron says "and Y/N is gay anyways"

"Well she wouldn't have known back then would she Ronald," Flo says and the Weasley boy huffs and Y/N laughs

"Yeah I mean I did kiss Y/N back in second year before she told us" Jorden says and the group all look at him utterly shocked

"What!" Hermione says looking at Y/N who glares at Jorden
