It was evident to you that today would bring rain. You loved the rain, especially living in an area that would bring tons of it. A lot of rain would also bring Daz. Nowadays, you found yourself looking forward to the encounter more than the rain itself.

After all it truly wasn’t everyday that the divine of storms himself. graced you with his presence.

You walked into the temple, expecting to be greeted by a couple storm chasers. Ever since Daz gave you a gift, and you showed it off, you had been named the higher up. You were happy with this like any other sane person would be.

But now there was a… minor problem with this. You had made an enemy. The former high priestess, Chole Phillips.  If you were being completely honest.. you had a former twinge of jealousy towards her before you were named a higher up.

Before she was the one in charge, she was the face of all storm chasers, and you liked that not one bit. And you certainly didn’t like the fact that you thought that if she ever came across Daz, then they would certainly have a connection.

And now, now that you had met Daz, now that the two of you had a connection, you had come to realize that it couldn’t be further from the truth. Chole was stuck up and arrogant. And although maybe she and Daz shared that, you knew that an arrogant person with another arrogant person wouldn’t be so compatible

However it seemed like now  that you had taken her spot as a higher up, she was the jealous one. She was jealous that you had a gift and she didn't because that gift was proof that not only had you had a real encounter with Daz, but he also liked you enough to give you a gift.

And she made it clear that she hated you. It was always the little things, she would slam doors in your face, try to trip you, give you the side eye, so on and so forth.

You never really paid it any mind seeing as how she was just being a childless person, and you had no such time for that. Instead you focused on the things to come.

For example, the upcoming storm.

“Good day everyone!” You shouted as you walked into the temple.

You were met with many greetings, and well.. A scowling Chole.

"And a good day today will be! There’s a storm coming today!” A younger man shouted.

“Yes, yes, it appears Daz wants to meet with his muse.” The women whispered around each other in an attempt to tease you.

You blushed a shade of deep red, while Chole’s scowl only seemed to grow wider.

“Well, maybe it’s just a normal storm. Whatever it is, let’s try to have a good day today, alright? I’m off to go visit the garden, and then I’ll go back home for today.” You said.

The crowd around you spread around, as everyone went back to doing what they were before your arrival. You sighed with relief as the attention was off of you. It wasn’t that you hated attention, it was that you hated attention that was projected onto you with an expectation. An expectation like being the higher up at the temple of Daz. There were only seven higher ups, and you were one of them.  Just now were you starting to realize how big of a responsibility that was.

You walked out into the garden. Though yes, Leo was the divine of nature, that didn’t mean that Daz couldn’t have a garden. If anything, many if not all the temples had a garden. Daz’s garden was filled with lillies, dandelions, and your favorite, sunflowers.

Maybe the sunflower itself wasn’t pretty, but what you found astonishing was the fact that every morning the sunflowers would look up at the sky and beam at the sun. And if there was no sun that day, they would grow upward. No matter what, they would find a way to look bright and happy, just like the sun.
