“Angle! You home?” Theo shouted from the entrance of the ‘bear cave’.

Honestly, Theo and his brother giving their home a nickname was just what you would expect from them. You weren’t surprised in the slightest. Even so, what was less surprising was what a mess it was.

The only place that wasn’t a total mess was the living room. Only reason being that all the cushions there didn’t allow much room for mess. When Theo said he was a big guy, he meant it. You could only imagine how much bigger his older brother must be.

“Yeah! In here!” You shouted, as you turned off the faucet.  You put down the plate that you were cleaning and went to meet Theo.

“Oh, there you are! Doing something… productive, I see.” He cringed when he saw just what you were doing. The dishes… His dirty dishes.

“Ha, ha, ha,” He said sheepishly. “You don’t have to do that.. I promise you that I’ll clean this-”

“HA! You? Cleaning? The closest I’ve seen you clean is when you banged that pillow really hard to get a stain out. Trust me, honey, I’ve got it.” You laughed.

“Okay, maybe, it is better that you handle that aspect…” He sheepishly put a hand behind his ear. “Anyways, I was wondering if you would want to go out? Like just to take a stroll around the market? I mean, it must be tough sitting around here  all day because you don’t know anyone around town. So.. What do you say?”

“Oh. Yeah, it gets pretty lonely with- without you.” You started to blush. “But yeah, a nice walk around town sounds  great.” You beamed. “Let me go get my shoes.”

The sanctuary was a beautiful place. Even with all of its outstanding beauty the one thing that truly caught your attention was Theo. Ehhh, more specifically howhow fast Theo could spot all the food stands.

It was impressive to say the least. He could simply sniff them out, even with his eyes closed! You chuckled as you watched Theo try to guess what the strong smell was in the air .

"Well, look what the cat dragged in." A voice you recognized.

"Hey Duke! Is that your baked goods that smell so good?" Theo said, enthusiastically.

It was Duke. You remembered him from before you had even entered the sanctuary. Though then, he had a companion hiding behind him. Not like you were any different as you were hiding behind Theo as well.

Even though you were excited to meet new people, you still had little to no interactions with another person. It was like second nature to hide behind Theo, to shield you from anyone's attention.

"Yeah, it's these new goodies I baked up with a little inspiration from a little someone." He winked at his companion, who was now, standing beside him.

"Oh~ you wanna try one, angel?"

"Ahh…umm…yeah." You hid your face in the crook of Theos neck.

"Alright. Oh, what do you have? You know what screw that, I'll take  two of everything." He beamed.

You chuckled behind Theo, and wrapped your arms around him while Duke packed Theo's order.

Duke handed Theo a bag filled with everything he ordered. You would've thought that would've been the end of that encounter, but Theo and Duke proceeded to have a conversation.

You simply waited there with your arms wrapped around his waist. It wasn't until you heard a familiar name that you started paying attention to what they were saying.
