Ok so this one was a bit longer. And I sat at my desk for HOURS writing it so I certainly believe there was plenty of room for error.  Feedback would be nice because I think it may sound rushed because I thought it was getting to long. This takes place after the events of part 6 so Bren is somewhere in the palace, honestly I forgot to add him lol. Also I should probably add a tw for verbal and emotional abuse and cursing, anywyas thank you for your time💕
TW: EMOTIONAL AND VERBAL ABUSE AND CURSING⚠️

"You called for me, your highness?” you came in after being called in by the head maid. At this point you had been “working” at the sky palace for a couple months. Yeah, maybe there had been a person or two who had questioned your and Abul’s relationship, but no one had confronted you or made a scene. If anyone had their suspicions, they simply didn’t care.

“Yes, prepare a room for our guest. King Leon Hart from the Half-Blood Sanctuary will be staying with us for three days to discuss some manners about the relationship between dragons and the half-bloods of the sanctuary. Please prepare a room for him before he arrives.”  Abul said, with a hopeful twinkle in his eyes.

You were aware that Abul was discussing peace with the half-bloods of the sanctuary and the Avians of Alvira. You were very flattered at all the work Abul was putting into making amends with the other rulers, especially because you knew that you were his reasoning for wanting to change the dragon kingdom's past.

“Yes, right away, your highness.” you bowed, but before you could leave you heard a struggle at the door.

Guards immediately got up in front of Abul in order to protect him from a possible upcoming threat, however if anything Abul would probably be the one to end up defending the guards. He had a very strong physical build from being trained since he was practically a child, and so did Cassia. Both siblings were very fit and they owed that to their grandfather and father.

“Hey, what are you doing? Get over here.” Abul whispered to you, opening his arms.

You ran to him with nothing else left to lose, before you heard it. Or rather heard her. Her screams were enough to make you melt in Abul’s arms. You started sobbing at the realization of who it was and how it might affect you. Your mother.

You and your mother didn’t get on well. At first it was the occasional argument that later escalated to more frequent verbal battles. Soon enough every time you argued she would neglect you and your needs.  You would have screaming matches for hours on end, and it was all because of your grandmother.

She was a fragile old woman, but there was a time where she wasn’t so delicate.  Nana Blair was a strong woman in her prime. She would venture into the sky palace back when it was open to outsiders and have fights with the young “blood king” before he was even king. When Nana had settled down, had children and even grandchildren she would sit by the fire and tell anyone who would listen stories of her adventures.

Most of these stories would circle around the dragons, something you found yourself very interested in. However, that's where the issues started. At this time the people of Akhan had started to have a major panic because of the most recent sightings of half-bloods near their territory.  More specifically, a dragon.

The people of Akhan already hated half-bloods, like any human city, but a dragon? on their territory? People were practically paying to get it off of their territory.  Your mother like any other would try to get you to hate them, but the stories Nana Blair would tell, just made you fantasize about meeting a half-blood, especially a dragon.
