There was something intriguing about the Gregor's next door. Something about the pink hair, and pink eyes was really intriguing. At first you thought that they were albino and dyed their hair pink since their white hair would be really easy to dye, but after giving it much more thought, the weirder it was. Their hair was definitely genetic.

You remembered the day that they moved in next door. Your mother sent you to introduce yourself to the new neighbors, with a cookie basket. Oh, and tell them that if they need help moving their things, youll help. You winced with the embarrassment from your social anxiety. Reluctantly you waddled over, and knocked on the door.

Oh, hello there darling. A woman smiled warmly at you.

You returned the smile, Hi, maam, my mom sent me to introduce myself. Were the neighbors next door. You introduced yourself and your family, afterwards your mouth felt dry from the lack of words to say now You pushed the cookie basked towards her, offering it to her.

Aw, how sweet! The woman smiled, reaching her hand out to get the basket from you, Well, then let me introduce myself. My name is Nicole. Were the Gregor's. I live with my husband, Abe, and our three kids, Logan, Shane, and Cameron.

Thats lovely maam.. She raised her eyebrow, and your life flashed before your eyes. Even thought Nicole was quite a sweet woman, she had the look that if you fuck with her or her family she was more than capable of tearing you to pieces.

Please, sweetness, call me Nicole.

Yes, maa- Nicole. Man that feels weird. You werent use to addressing people older than you in that regard.

She chuckled. Just then a young man with pink hair and glasses ran up to the door.

Mom! Mom! Have you seen Shane- His eyes landed on you. Oh! Hi there,

Dear, this is my son, Logan. She introduced. Logan, this is (Name), they're our neighbors next door now."

The two of you stared at each other for seconds. Seconds that felt like hours.

Oh- umm, it's very nice to meet you." You said half distracted by the pink elephant in the room.

He laughed, noticing your interest in his hair and eyes, Before you ask, it is genetic, not dyed. Crazy genetics, I guess you could say. After hearing that, you looked back and forth between Nicole and Logan.

So.. Is this genetic trait from..?

Yes, from my dad. Both him and Nicole, shared a laugh, clearly this not being the first instant in which this question was asked.

That was almost three years ago. Ever since that day you had become particularly close with Logan. It took a lot of work, but eventually you broke down his wall of seriousness, and met the real Logan Gregor. He was the typical overprotective older brother. Even though he was only older than Shane by a couple minutes, he was still incredibly protective of him. Even putting this aspect aside, the real Logan wasnt scared of hard work, be it physically or academically. He really did have everything; Intelligence, personality, looks, and not to mention he was reasonably athletic.

That same longing feeling of adventure, and mischief that he somehow brought out, even with his very serious and mature façade was so rich, and alive. He was such a good person to be around. You had no idea someone could feel so alive in another persons presence.

But really that nice feeling that he gave you would be short lived, because in the recent Logan Gregor went off to college. Something that you were never really interested in, so you were just stuck in this little small town with the only interesting person gone.
