Moonbell Boba

“‘Sugar~ Yes please. Won’t you come and put it down on me!’” You and Judah sang along with the radio, much like how you had hours prior on your way to the aquarium. Only this time you were headed towards the boba shop down from the academy. 

Judah parked the car in front of a small, yet very colorful shop. It was a rather weird location, until you considered that many students would probably want to pick up a drink before or after school.

“Woah. Judah, how did you find out about this place? The school is so big, it basically covers up the entire shop.” 

“Yeah so funny story, I was talking to Onyx the other day and she told me that this place had a really special blue flower drink and ice cream. I think she called them Moonbells? Either way, I’m intrigued.”  

“And.. I may or may not have asked Big A to keep the school open so that we could sneak into the pool after this.” He winked. 

“I- Judah, I don’t have any clothes to get wet in-” You protested. 

“Shh, we can pull off the good ol’ underwear trick.” 

“At the school? Judah, what if there’s cameras or something-”

“You know there are people who go swimming naked, right?” Judah reasoned. 

“Ugh, yes I know what skinny dipping is. I’m talking about the school cameras catching us.” 

Judah laughed, “You dork. I’m not asking you to swim naked. I’m asking you to swim half naked.” You playfully punched his arm, as his angelic laugh filled your ears. 

“Well, come on! I want to know what’s up with this Moonbell drink Onyx has been talking about.” Judah was already out of the car, and opening the car door for you by the time that you were barely reaching for the car door handle. 

“Come on, you’re so slow!” He pouted. 

“Slow? Oh~ I’m going to make you swallow your words.” You said competitively. In a flash you dashed for the small boba shop, leaving Judah to have to catch up with you after he caught on. 

You stopped right in front of the glass door of the shop, mesmerized by the tranquility of the small shop. Everything inside was perfect. There were many flower pots with blue flowers decorating most of the shop. They shone brightly as the light from the sunset illuminated each individual petal.

When you opened the door a little bell rang, informing whoever was working that there were customers. The strong scent of caffeine hit your nostrils, as this was a coffee shop. 

“Hello, welcome to-” A sweet, high pitched voice said.. a voice that you certainly recognized. 

“Oh, hey Cam!” Judah greeted the pink haired boy. 

“H-hi, Judah! I see you brought a friend?” Cameron asked. 

“Actually,” Judah wrapped his arms around your shoulders, “I’m on a date.” For some reason Judah admitting that you two were romantically involved made you blush a sweet cherry color.  

"Oh! Right, so what can I get you two?” Cam asked. 

You scanned the menu, but it didn’t take you long to set your sights on the star drink of the shop. Moonbell Boba. It was a very colorful drink, at least in the advertisement. The tea was a rich blue slightly lighter than the flowers decorating the shop, while the boba itself was actually vanilla ice cream. 

“Moonbell boba?” You asked Judah, his face lit up. Clearly he was thinking about having the same thing. 

“Two moonbell bobas, and two breakfast sandwiches.” Judah told Cam. 

“Mhmm.. $13. 43.” You reached for your pockets to get money to pay, but before you could even find a single coin, Judah had already paid, and tipped. 

You glared at him, so far he had paid for everything. You were hoping that you could pay him back now by paying for this. 

“What? I asked you out, only fair I pay.” He justified himself. 

You rolled your eyes, but then took a seat at a nearby table. Judah soon joined you, taking a good look at you. 

“What? Do I have something on my face?”  You freaked out. 

“No. Not yet at least.” He leaned in close until he was right next to your ear, “You could have my lips on your face if you’d like. Or even better on your own lips.” At this point you were grateful that Cam had gone back to make the drinks because otherwise he would’ve seen your beet red face. 

Judah chuckled, “You know, your face looks especially cute with the sun shining on your face. Have you ever considered being a model?” 

Now it was your turn to laugh. “A model? Me? Sweetie, if you hadn’t asked me out today, I wouldn’t have gotten out of my sweatpants.” 

“Alright, maybe you could model sweatpants? Nothing wrong with that.” He  joked. 

Cam came out with the drinks, which were obviously your order, as you two were the only ones in the shop.  Judah got up and got the drink from the counter. He sat down, handing you your drink and your sandwich.

“You know you didn’t have to get the sandwich, right?” You were complaining of course, as you still grabbed the sandwich. 

“Well, yeah, but after what happened at the aquarium, I think I owe it to you.” 

“That wasn’t your fault, Judah-” 

“Shh… accept the sandwich.” You rolled your eyes, and took a bite out of it, then you took a sip out of the drink. You took another sip of the drink, completely shocked at how good a drink made out of flowers could taste. 

“Woah.. This thing is actually really good.” You said, still a little shocked. 

“Yeah, really good. I’m not surprised considering the history of the flower, and its usage.” Judah wasn’t as shocked as you. 

“What? Its usage?” 

“Yeah this flower is used in many foods and drinks around the town. After seeing it everywhere, I researched the flower and found out it's also a medicine?” Judah explained. He babbled on for minutes on end about this flower, and you listened to every minute of it, utterly in love.

This was requested a longgggg time ago by AngeletteCloud10 but I never really got around to it, as I never really knew how to write it in a way that I would be proud of it. But I'm actually surprisingly proud of this. Anyways I'm so sorry this took so long, like I'm actually embarrassed at how long it took. Hope yall enjoyed💕
