The castle's ballroom was richly decorated with colorful rope curtains hanging along with other embellishments on the tables and stage. The elaborate placements of the orbs that made up the chandelier shimmered, creating a serene atmosphere.

My mother was wearing a long matte black dress, the dress had white flowers embroidered on it, he had long matte black gloves on his arms the gloves went to just above the elbow, on his thin lips they had a bright red lipstick that matched perfectly with her scarlet eyes, there was a neck a pearl necklace, in her ears were beautiful gold earrings, on her feet were a black stiletto heel.

My dad was wearing a matte black suit that was fitted perfectly to his body, in this world there are no ties so scarves were rolled up under the collar and tied, being seen as fashionable, his long red hair was tied tightly in a ponytail .

Deciding to be different from my parents I wore a beautiful white suit like my hair, around my neck I put a red scarf to match my beautiful eyes inherited from my mother.

"Throw here!" A familiar voice rang out from the crowd of nobles, I looked in the direction of the voice and saw Curtis waving at me with his right arm, Esdeath was standing beside him.

She couldn't help but let out a small laugh at the sight of Esdeath wearing a frilly dress, she was obviously not used to wearing such clothes.

"Mom, can I?"

"Sure, honey, go have fun with your friends." My mother replied with a smile.

Me, Curtis and Esdeath were talking and enjoying the party, I suddenly saw a couple of young people who must have been ten years old approaching us, the girl called Curtis for a dance and he gladly accepted, the boy invited Esdeath who although she stayed a little reluctant in the end accepted.

I started looking around, I was looking for a place I could be alone, I hate parties with influential people because everything is analyzed, their posture, their behavior, hell, every handshake or lack thereof, and irritating to have to keep acting respectfully is formal with people you don't care about.

I found a French door that gave access to a balcony, I started to walk through the maze of people, several futile conversations began to enter my ears, but one of these conversations caught my attention, as it was about my family's wines.

"The Winey's wine is truly unparalleled." A burly man said.

"Yes, I had one of their wines that was aged for fifty years and this was without a doubt the best drink I have ever had." His companion replied.

I smile proudly, just by the tone of their voices I know they are true compliments.

I opened one of the two French doors gently, walked through the door, closed it as subtly as I opened it.

As soon as I got outside a soft spring breeze kissed my body, my hair started dancing with air.

"What a wonderful night." I said looking at the starry sky.

Coming from a world where illuminated cities masked the stars, being able to see such a serene spectacle was a blessing I had come to appreciate.

I noticed someone looking at me from the shadows, and I said, "Are you going to announce yourself or are you going to stand there looking like a ghost?"

The person came out of the shadows without making a single sound, "Princess Kathlyn!" I said in surprise.

"I'm sorry for my rudeness Lancelot." His tone of voice was quite monotonous, it reminded me of my old self, since I came to Dicathen to let me know more about the feelings that the white room took away from me.
