Introduction

Knowing that life is fleeting, let's be like cherry blossoms, which even with little time, adorn and make everyone's life, near or far, even more beautiful.

End of intro

From Lancelot Winey's Point of View (Ayanokoji Kiyotaka)

It had been three weeks since I returned home, my father calmer after all the company was going very well, with my mother and Sam enjoying their free time as housewives, life couldn't be happier.

Even though I was at home, I spent most of my time at Opheans.

As I explored the djinn's flying castle I found a laboratory full of bestial cores and materials I had never seen before.

As I examined the cores I noticed that they all possessed a bestial will, I thought about absorbing one, but I already had Fluger's will, and I also didn't know if my body could withstand two powerful wills, so I chose not to.

I took a bestial core with the bestial will of a leviathan built in, for I knew the ideal person to absorb it.

From Kathyln Glayder's point of view

I wandered absently through the castle garden, cherry trees flanking every marble path I walked.

Since I awakened my mana core, my day has gotten a lot busier, so I barely have time to enjoy serene moments like this.

The scenery of the fluttering and dancing cherry blossom petals along the walkway was already inspiring a warm feeling in my heart, walking alongside the dancing cherry blossom petals is a perfect way to enjoy the great feeling of the season.

"Aaah, the fluttering cherry blossoms look so warm..." she said as she gazed dreamily at the sky that had a sky blue hue.

The sky already showed all the signs of spring: white clouds drifting lightly across the bright blue sky along with the scattered pink of cherry blossom petals.

There was also the sun, shining noticeably brighter than its diminished winter version, and the miniature moon, stubbornly hanging there.

As I continued to marvel at the sky, a soft breeze kissed my body the cap I had on my head flew off, I stretched my arm but I couldn't reach it.

Feeling vibrations in the atmospheric mana, I injected mana into my dimensional ring and took out my wand, and silently began to chant a spell.

It was unlikely that I would be attacked here from all over, but it's still best to be safe.

The shape of a person appeared in front of me, the moment I was about to fire my spell I recognized the person was...

Lancelot.

He was wearing a white shirt with black horizontal stripes, over it there was a black blazer, he was also wearing skinny jeans with his hem bent, on his feet there was a white sneaker, but his neck caught my attention, because on it There was a tattoo, before I had a chance to ask something, about it a white hawk, one of the most powerful flying beasts, landed on his shoulder.

Lancelot reached out and easily grabbed my beret from the air.

I undid my spell and tucked my wand into my dimensional ring again, my fingers quickly going to my hair to try to arrange it, to further improve my appearance.

It was weird whenever I was around Lancelot my heart would start to beat faster, I would get nervous and butterflies would rise in my belly.

"It's good to see you again Kathlyn." Lancelot spoke with a smile as he handed me my beret.

"Thank you" I said, "What brings you to the castle?"

"Do I need a reason to come see you?" Lancelot answered my question with another question.

"No." I replied shyly, the two of us started walking through the garden side by side.

Each of his steps was light and confident, as if he was always sure of his direction and purpose.

What made me so stupidly attracted to him?

Those eyes that looked calm and poised, but still a little playful... was that his gaze? Was it his smile?

Lancelot noticed my gaze on him, "Is something wrong?" he asked as he focused his scarlet eyes on my light brown eyes, his gentle voice sending shivers down my spine.

"There's nothing wrong!" I spoke quickly.

I could feel his eyes studying me as we walked along the marble path, it had been almost a year since we last met.

I wonder if he looks at any other girls like that. I want his attention all to myself like now. I stop myself before I almost sigh aloud.

We started talking about what we've been up to the last few months. His time as an Adventurer was very exciting, but I couldn't help but be a little disappointed that he was with that girl named Sam all the time.

"Pfft!" The corners of Lancelot's eyes crinkled as he revealed his bright smile.

"W-what?!" I asked defensively.

"You know I thought you were a doll since your face didn't have any reaction or change while being around me the whole time, so I'm enjoying the different expressions you're showing me as I tell my story." I catch a glimpse of his eyes making me blush.

"I apologize. I... I'm not the most proficient at using my facial muscles, but I'll practice." I repeat to myself as I push my cheeks up and down with my fingers in an attempt to make different expressions.

"I'm not sure this is something you can practice. Just don't force your emotions down and let your face move the way it wants, according to how you feel. When you feel sad, your face will naturally want to. frown. When you're happy, your face naturally wants to smile. Like this!" Lancelot exaggerates his expressions as I change from an ugly frown to a bright smile.

As princess of Sapin I had a way of acting, my mother even put me in etiquette and manners classes, I also didn't want to do anything that would embarrass my family title so I always suppressed my emotions and always wore the same one. emotionless mask.

Yet here I was, with a boy my age who is far more talented and admired, but still so...brilliant. He glowed with a glow that made me want to be just like him. What made you so different from me? How was he still able to express his emotions freely without being afraid of what others would see?

I couldn't help but laugh as Lancelot contorted his face like that.

He looked so silly.

Laughs

Our laughter echoed through the air, as soon as we stopped laughing I told him a little about my training with Mistress Varay.

"Wow, I knew you would be a talented mage." Your genuine look makes me proud. I get embellished compliments from all sorts of different important figures, but just a simple compliment from him makes me so happy.

Lancelot suddenly stopped walking, I also stopped and looked at him, his mouth opened and the following words came out of it.

"Kathlyn, do you want to take a little walk with me?"
