Author's Note: The chapter will come out early today, as I most likely won't be able to post it tomorrow.

From the point of view of Lancelot Winey (Ayanokoji)

As soon as the first one arrived, the time also arrived when I would finally venture into the careers of the beasts.

Even though I'm very powerful I'm only 8 years old so under no circumstances could I go alone to the clearing of the beasts in this case Sam would go with me.

Even if I didn't want to, I would have to become an adventurer, because that's the only way I could explore dungeons.

I would only go to beast glades for one reason, and that was to get a bond or a bestial will.

I am currently at Xyrus Adventurers Guild Hall to take my assessment exam.

The Guild Hall was not what I expected it to be. A place full of thugs sitting around wooden tables drinking beer was what I pictured inside my head. Instead, it was a marble structure with an intricately designed interior. There were tables made of metal where I could see other adventurers giving us a passing glance. The whole place had decor that looked like a luxury hotel that didn't quite match some of the more barbaric-looking adventurers who were here.

After several tests and inspections of my mana core I could finally do the practical test, I squint as they try to adjust to the changing brightness of the dark passage. We were inside a coliseum covered with dirt floors and well lit. The seats were just exaggerated stairs that were almost empty except for about 10 people sitting in random places. On the stage, at the bottom, there were two augmenters fighting.

As I wasn't interested in the battle, I settled myself better in the stands and closed my eyes.

I only opened my eyes when a shrill scream announced that my turn had come.

I got up and started walking towards the arena.

I was in no mood to fight the examiner who I think was called Jorge or George didn't bother to keep his name.

Our battle didn't even last five minutes I was a much higher level than the examiner so my little test battle was over my rank was announced.

I was now an A-rank adventurer and Sam who had also taken the exam to become an adventurer also gained an A-rank.

The same employee who took us to the exam site hands me my bronze adventurer card at the front desk.

From Class E to Class B, the card is a bronze color, starting at Class A, it will change to Silver, then Gold to Class AA, then white to Class S.

"So what should we do next?" Sam questioned me.

She ponders a little. There were several options. We could do missions that were in our category or below. These quests included a variety of tasks, from guard duty, to acquiring specific items. We could also transport to the Glade of Beasts and explore while hunting the mana beasts.

"Explore a dungeon." she responds with a soft smile on her face.

Walking through the teleportation gate, my senses leap from the stage. Xyrus City has the most teleportation gates between cities as it's the only way you can get into it, being a floating city and all. The one we passed took us directly to the front entrance to the area known as the Glade of Beasts.

Hearing the chirping of birds and the occasional screams and roars of beasts, the constant sound of flowing water filling the background created a natural symphony. The sight of tall trees and countless hills full of different plants reminded me of everything but a dangerous landscape filled with monsters that can kill even the strongest of mages. Only low-ranking beasts inhabited the outskirts of Beast Glade, where natural resources were the least plentiful. The deeper you go, the more mysterious the landscape becomes, with caves and hidden entrances to unexplored regions of the continent.

I take a deep breath, "Let the adventures begin!"
