Nothing is so dangerous as an ignorant friend; a wise enemy should be preferred

'What do you mean corrupted, Fluger?'

'They are stronger, and their appearance is different, on my journey I encountered a hades serpent, a class AA mana beast, it is known for the blue fire gushing along its spine, but the one I found had black flames. It looked like dense smoke fluttering wildly along the 30-meter snake's spine. This particular Hades serpent also had a black horn protruding from its forehead while its scales, which were normally a dull gray color, were glossy black.'

'This is the work of the Alacryans, isn't it?'

'Yes, all the features of the serpent reminded me of vitras.'

I let out a long sigh, I knew from Vitch's words that Alacrya had most likely been preparing for the upcoming war for years, but I didn't realize they were already putting their pieces on the board, while Dicathen barely had the technology to cross the sea, Alacrya was already most likely already controlling the mana beasts that Dicathen possessed and making an army with them.

I've read countless books on the history and economy of this continent, and one historical moment in Dicathen was known as "The Age of Beasts."

In this chaotic time the three races were nomads, always on the run from mana beasts. Humans, elves and dwarves traveled separately due to conflicts of appearance and culture, but whenever any of the races met, they were on good terms... they had to be, for only then could they survive.

I really didn't understand this historical period, for the simple fact that it didn't make sense, why don't we use magic to ward off mana beasts? I could understand maybe avoiding A-class mana beasts and above, but I don't see why we were so helpless.

I tried questioning or digging through Fluger's memories, but that period was almost non-existent in his memories, he spent most of that time in hibernation thanks to the wounds he sustained against an asura named Windson, one of Lord Indrath's most faithful foes.

Then we were suddenly able to drive the mana beasts into what is now known as Beast Glade, putting an end to the Beast Age.

After the end of the bestial age, the three races diverged peacefully and naturally, each looking for a place that fits with their cultures and way of life to call that place Home.

Humans settled in the western part of Dicathen, where the land was flat and their soil was extremely fertile, a really good place to grow.

The Elves went north, where they could live in harmony with the planes and animals.

The years went south, a place full of metals and precious stones.

And if Alacrya could control many beasts we would have a new "Age of Beasts."

But I'm not sure we could handle that while protecting our lands from an Alacryan invasion, for Dicathen is weak.

The citizens of Dicathen are lazy and arrogant, magic is a trial-and-error process just like any science.

So at some point you will come across some obstacle or obstacle in your path that will force you to try harder, but people don't have the courage or simply the will to do that, so they are content with the level they have reached.

Kids might say they want to become the new spears, but I wonder if they're willing to pay the price to get that, well the vast majority aren't.

And the excuses these types of people give are always the same as, "I have no talent."

Well it is true that there are only a small number of people who possess such a talent, and this talent is highly valued by society, few would throw it away, even more so for young men and women who have not yet reached their maturity, rendering them incapable. of chasing a path out of this "bright future".
