My parents and I were having our breakfast, when suddenly the housekeeper of the mansion entered the dining room.

"Mr. Simon, Ms. Isabelle Miss Ayres has just arrived."

My mom swallowed the food she was chewing, and wiped her mouth before saying, "Ask her in."

"OK." The governed answered before leaving, moments after she left, a girl who did not appear to be over 18 years old entered the room.

Miss Ayres is an incredibly beautiful young woman, having a pretty face and some attractive features. Even though she has a slim body, which is defined, she also has some nice curves. She has an average height, pale skin and blond hair, mixed with light pink and a slight hint of purple that falls over her forehead in vertical bangs and two locks that are tucked behind her ear. She has crystal blue eyes with a dark shading that makes them stand out.

Her white skin, devoid of any tan, was accompanied by short lips and, despite not having glasses, she gave an image of a studious girl always working in the library.

She was carrying a suitcase in one hand as our Mayburn village had no guesthouse, so the job offer included accommodation as well.

Ayres put the suitcase on the floor.

"Hello, my name is Sam Ayres. It will be a pleasure to work with you." Sam introduced himself while bowing respectfully.

"The pleasure will be ours." My father spoke.

"Come on Sam, have breakfast with us, in a little while we're leaving for Mayburn." My mother spoke.

"Thank you Ms. Winey." Sam answered before sitting down at the table.

"You don't have to be so formal with us, call us by our names." My mother spoke.

"OK." Sam replied.

Soon after we finished our breakfast we left for Mayburn.

The next morning, Sam and I went to the garden to start our training.

And so, from day one onwards, I was able to get along with Sam.

3 months later

Those last semester went by in the blink of an eye.

One thing I managed to do in these three months was to use my mana to strengthen my body. I still hadn't fully tested what I was capable of, for fear of giving my parents or Sam a heart attack, but it was becoming a little more natural to direct my mana from my core through my mana channels.

Sam was a good teacher, very adaptable to the students' understanding and not too attached to the curriculum. She was progressively teaching me according to my understanding.

Sam's classes were very easy to understand and interesting, where I was sure to get answers to my questions.

I also started training my body, running, push-ups, sit-ups and so on.

I think watching my five-year-old body try to do a push-up would be the funniest thing, but my parents and Sam did a good job holding back their laughter.

When I'm not taking classes with Sam or training my body, I'm usually stuck in the library, reading and meditating to further condense and purify my mana core, I'm almost stepping into the dark red core to unlock my affinity element.

Before I knew it 3 years quickly passed.
