From the point of view of Kathyln Glayder
"Don't let Pandora touch you." Warned Moonlight.
"You understand, don't you?" Pandora said with a half smile, her arm returned to normal. "I'm not healing myself, I'm just consciously preserving the shape of my soul with vigor."
"That means..." My mother said in a weak voice, I was almost whispering, but thanks to the silence that fell over the room, we managed to hear her perfectly.
"Pandora's power is to get in touch with the soul and change its shape." Moonlight confirmed my suspicions.
'How did someone get this power?'
"You know I'm stocking up on humans, although it's pretty difficult." What appeared to be two stones appeared between Pandora's fingers.
"That's human." I said in shock, my mind refusing to believe this was true.
"Normal people die immediately after their soul is transfigured. But what happens if I do that to you wizards?" Pandora threw the transfigured humans into the air and screamed, "Inert transfiguration."
The stones turned into what looked like zombie corpses, they were skinny, skeletal, they had no eyes or nose all they had was a hole where those parts should have been.
"It helps me." the transfigured humans said making my legs stay static in the same place.
"Kathy, don't save the transfigured humans." Moonlight spoke by her tone that was an order, "Kill them without a second thought it's for their own sake, it's impossible to save the person after he had his soul transfigured." Two compressed air bullets hit the transfigured humans' foreheads.
"Ahhh, sorry, sorry, I think I practiced so much that they don't die after I change their size, but... what about the brain? There's still a little bit of conscience left, you know? But don't worry about it, sometimes the sweat from the soul it drips a little, but don't worry and let's continue."
"Mitsukurina, freeze." I screamed and in an instant the ice serpent that was coiling around my body answered my request, but Pandora's form became blurred and disappeared.
"Caution!" Shouted Moonlight.
Pandora appeared a step away from me with her right arm stretched out towards me two inches from my stomach.
The ground below her sank thanks to Moonlight which had increased gravity making her movements slower giving me enough time to escape.
"Gravitational magic is really troublesome." Said Pandora, "Are you surprised by my sudden increase in speed, Princess?"
"No." replied
"You lie very badly, your soul is trembling, you know?"
"Moonlight, get my mom and dad out of here." I spoke without caring about the things that came out of my opponent's mouth.
"Jack take care of it."
"As you wish."
"I only need to touch you once to get you off your pretty face, Kathyln Glayder."
"You know you are very loud, please be quiet."
"You will be my perfect work, princess."
I felt a familiar mana approach quickly, "Finally." I sighed in relief.
The ceiling of the castle room was broken only to reveal Bairon's form wreathed in lightning.
"Sorry I'm late." Said Bairon without looking directly at us his gaze was focusing on Pandora.
"Well I'm still not at the level to fight with a spear." Pandora surprisingly conceded. "But before I leave, I'll leave you a present."
Before we got down Pandora had her hand on my father's face.
"Magicians can protect their bodies with mana, but you can't protect your souls, it's impossible to protect the soul from a technique that doesn't recognize the soul in the first place," Pandora smirked and hissed "Inert Transfiguration." After these words Pandora disappeared into thin air, leaving only her partner here.
Pandora had turned my father into one of her many ex-human abominations. My mom was so shocked she can't react and the now transfigured my dad hits her but she just ignores the pain and instead focuses on trying to wake up my dad.
I stumbled back, just kept on my feet because Bairon had held me, my breath came in short, ragged bursts, and my head spun.
"Curtis..." My mom said thanks to her speech I realized my brother's magical presence was gone.
"No he doesn't either." I muttered in a shaky voice.
"Kathy, go find your brother Bairon and I'll take care of things here." exclaimed Moonlight.
As soon as I got to my brother's room I saw him and Grawder, my stomach tightened and a lump in my throat threatened to choke me when I saw black spikes piercing their bodies.
A sob escaped my throat and I couldn't take it anymore. Falling to my knees, I cried, I... I cried for my parents - I cried for all the things I would never be able to do with them, for all the things I said to them and for all the things I couldn't say to them.
