"Damn it!" King Glayder cursed, slamming his fists on the long rectangular table we were currently gathered at. "And are you absolutely sure of that, Gideon?"
"Yea." replied the old inventor.
It hadn't even been an hour since I'd arrived in Estitin but Gideon had dragged me to a meeting with the council and his spears, Emily hadn't come with us, she was too young to be involved in all of this.
"Damn it!" King Blaine Glayder swore once more, rising from his seat.
"Calm down, Blaine," said King Alduin.
"Calm me down? Didn't you just hear Gideon's words? I'm sorry, but I can't keep my cool after discovering that our ship, a crucial part of our survival, has been swept off the map like a fly.
"Nettie, what are your thoughts on the matter?" Merial Eralith asked the ancient queen of the elves.
"Although I don't have extensive knowledge of the construction of the Dicatheous, I agree with what the craftsman Gideon thinks. We don't know the danger that the sea up to Alacrya holds, I also think that this is perhaps likely to be a trap, or rather a strategy on their part."
"What do you mean by 'strategy'?" asked General Varay, leaning against the wall behind Priscilla Glayder.
"According to the reports I've had access to, the Alacryans have set up several camps in the beast glade, correct?"
"Yes, that's correct." She answered the white-haired spear.
"While this might be a good plan to hide from our search squads, it also causes a lot of trouble for them, after all they have to defeat the most powerful beasts, I wonder if they have the technology needed to cross the seas?"
"Hmm, it's possible that's the case." Gideon was the one to respond as he mulled over the hypothetical scenario.
"If they hadn't we'd just give her and them." grumbled Queen Glaundera.
"Not necessarily, as I've already said we don't know the danger that the sea up to Alacrya holds, the Dicatheous may simply have encountered a beast, which their present mages might not have been able to deal with, or perhaps in the worst case scenario the queen's thinking Glaudera is right, if the Alacryans managed to take control of the Dicatheous, the sea does not become a problem for them anymore, but of one thing I am sure the people who went to the Dicatheous do not return to this land."
The meeting room was silent for a moment, until Queen Priscilla spoke. "Whatever the likelihood, the point is we have no choice but to prepare for a dual attack by sea and land," concluded the queen, rubbing her temples.

From Blaine Glayder's point of view
We're doing a lot to prepare for war, however, if Gideon and Nattie's speculations are true, it won't be long before everyone, soldier or not, is involved in one way or another.
I sighed and leaned back in my chair.
"What do you think of all this?" my wife asked as her gaze wandered over the landscape outside the windows of the flying castle.
I opened my mouth to respond, but a soft knock on the door stopped me.
"Which is?" I said aloud, the words coming out more abruptly than I intended.
The office door opened and Dawsid and Glaundera entered.
"What brings you here?" I asked.
"I have something to offer you." Dawsid said with a smile.
