From Arthur Leywin's point of view
Tess and I were walking through the courtyard at the back of the castle. The floating spheres emitted a faint, luminescent glow, illuminating the manicured garden in a gentle atmosphere.
"Tesssss!!!!!" Suddenly a scream pierced our ears.
Tess's emerald green eyes filled with tears as she spotted a girl with shiny blond hair and green eyes who was about our age walking towards us.
"Ayla." Tess sniffed, as soon as Ayla came close to us she pulled Tess into a hug.
I smiled, seeing that scene since we arrived at Elenoir Tess had always been cold and distant from all the people it wasn't me or her family seeing her being so emotional with someone for some reason made my heart flutter with joy.
After she broke up, Ayla and I introduced ourselves to each other.
We started walking around the castle as we talked, to my surprise Tess told Ayla about what happened to her, Ayla's eyes were sharpened with the sharpest blade, I knew very well that those eyes didn't belong to a child, they looked eyes of a true goddess of war.
I noticed something about Ayla she was a mage just like me, she was at a higher stage than me, she knew that elves woke up before us humans, but Ayla was something out of the loop.
A blatantly clear killing intent bombarded my senses, I could see that Ayla who was a few steps ahead of us also noticed, he turned around moving his right arm up a vine emerged from the ground and attacked the owner of that killing intent.
Milliseconds later, a faint glow emitted the position of a projectile aimed at Tessia. I pushed the princess out of the way and prepared to deflect the projectile with a mana-imbued hand, the vine Ayla conjured was easily cut by the mysterious figure.
Right after that, a figure in black was facing my back, his right arm in attack position. Grabbing the projectile, I immediately spun around to block the assassin with whatever was thrown at me. To my surprise, I came face to face with Tessia's grandfather.
I jumped back out of reach before yelling angrily, "What the hell! Why are you trying to kill us?"
"Child. It might hurt a little, but I doubt the toy you're holding will kill anyone," he chuckled.
I looked down at my hand to see a pencil-sized projectile with both ends blunted and coated with a layer of something close to the eraser.
I was cheated!
"Haha! Good reaction, good reaction! I didn't think you'd take my little gift and use it to block my next attack! Truly wonderful! You're still the same monster as always aren't Ayla."
From Ayla Leone's Point of View (Bishamon)
"Thanks for the compliment, Elder Virion." I politely responded to the elder's compliment before heading over to Tessia, my friend was fine.
Arthur was surprisingly agile, elder Virion took a wooden sword from his dimensional ring and threw it at Arthur.
'The two will duel.'
Giving Arthur no time to get into position or even a chance to accept their impromptu duel, Virion ran towards Arthur.
Arthur was treated like a wooden training post by the elder, Arthur's sword movements annoyed me a bit as it reminded me of the bastard Yato, an agile and deadly style, after about ten minutes of watching closely the two duel I began to notice some patterns in Elder Virion's attacks.
