The sun had just risen, covering the campus in a blanket of amber and violet. I settled back on top of the flat crenellated roof of the Hollow Tower, savoring the view and the cool breeze I couldn't have in my room. Though it had been built as a watchtower long ago and maintained as a place to meditate, newer, more sophisticated buildings had left this structure largely abandoned.

Thanks to the cool morning air, a cloud of fog formed in front of me with every breath.

My eyes wandered distractedly over the academy campus, which, although early, was quite busy, thanks to the club fair.

The massive tents dotted the campus It was like a little festival going on here.

To become an official club, you need to have a minimum number of people and have some kind of history.

Finding and getting talented new students has become the most important task each year as it affects the influence clubs have on campus, and this task has the full support of the school. That's why during this season, clubs fight fiercely in order to win as many new students as possible.

According to Tessia, the requests from clubs are so fierce that they often affect classes. And it doesn't help that they only have a one-week time limit for them to get as many new students as they can which is why all sorts of problems pop up every year.

Of course, there are rules in place that penalize clubs and their members if they break them, but it's not uncommon to see fights.

From the Hollow Tower, I wandered around the campus for a short while before heading to the disciplinary committee room.

When I opened the door I noticed that all the other committee members were already in the room, some training, others meditating to refine their core or simply reading.

"Now that you're all here, I'd like you all to sit down so we can start the meeting." Esdeath led us to the conference table.

"Okay, listen. The beginning of this crazy week is here again. For the Disciplinary Committee, this will be the first big hurdle we have to overcome, at the beginning of the year. I don't want to give anyone any reprimands so control your forces when will clear up some confusion. As I explained earlier, during the club's recruitment week, everyone will patrol the grounds of their own volition. Anyone else want to say anything?"

We all looked at each other to see if anyone had anything to add, but no one else spoke.

"In that case, I conclude our meeting, now we go to the gym this time for Tessia to officially announce the start of the fair.", Esdeath said ending the quick meeting.

About 100 people were waiting in the vicinity of the gym, upon entering the gym, pamphlets with details about club activities were scattered everywhere.

"Thanks for waiting, students. A representative from each club will explain their activities and how to join." After Tessia's greeting, club representatives lined up on the academy stage.

There were several representatives, from those who wore battle uniforms to science uniforms.

A girl in archery outfits started the introductions, club representatives introduced their clubs one by one, no matter how well they welcome newcomers, or how attractive the meeting places and moments are, it's just another normal intro.

Every time a new club starts its explanation, the first years talk among their friends about the previous club.

The gym had a lively atmosphere. The club representatives, and not to mention the supervising professor, continued their explanations with a displeased look.
