Author's note: As I'm off work this week, a new chapter will come out every day, only at night (Brazil time)

Ayla smiled and pushed her mana out like a storm, her body had no visible change, but I knew she wasn't the same as she was moments ago.

"Ayla finally got there isn't she, Iris?" I asked.

"Yes, unlike many inn Hruhyral is not a transformation but a state of mind, elves have always been more sensitive to mana and Hruhyral and how much their spirit connects fully with nature."

Kize closed the distance, crushing Ayla's defensive wind barriers with those heavy gauntlets.

A thick thick fog came to life on the battlefield preventing me from seeing, I injected mana into my eyes, my vision improved, but still the fog was affecting my senses.

'This mist has the same properties as that found in the Elshire Forest.' I thought

The Kingdom of Elenoir, the homeland of the Elves, located deep in the forest of Elshire, where the thick fog naturally forms deterring all but the Elves who, with their heightened senses, are able to navigate freely, also served as an anchor for her to move about. freely and almost instantly.

And within this fog, chaos ensued, sporadic flashes of spells lit up the fog.

"Shit!" Kize cursed, raising a dozen magma knights around him.

His magma knight promptly attacked with his sword. A fiery arc of lava shot toward the whisper of what looked like Ayla's shadow only to crash into a tree. The attack spread in bright sparks on impact, illuminating the mist for just a second.

"Enough of your tricks and illusions!" Kize roared. "Come and fight me face to face! Aren't you ashamed?"

"Shame?" Ayla's voice echoed in unison from at least a dozen different locations at once. "It's a matter of common sense, dear. Why would I throw away one of the few advantages I have?"

'She has an excellent point.' Fluger pointed out.

'I agree.'

Kize slammed his palm into the ground, creating chasms across the floor and the temperature within my newly created domain rose dramatically as the glowing magma that poured from the chasms illuminated the subterranean expanse.

Despite the increasing amounts of fire and earth mana around him, the situation didn't look good for Kize's side.

My first instinct would have been to escape to an open place where I could at least avoid the fog, but that would have meant abandoning the crystal, a critical piece here.

I surveyed my surroundings. Much of what I could make out was obscured by the mist, but the earth told me how many magma drops cast by Kize were at least standing and how many lay destroyed or incapacitated. In that short time, more than a quarter had already fallen.

Kize ignored Ayla's illusions. Instead, three of the cracks in the floor will erupt. Three blasts of molten lava coalesced into a fiery collision where I felt Ayla's mana fluctuate.

Her spell hit.

It was strange I watched the battle just for the mana that was being used, each swing, each change, tells me the current state of combat that most couldn't watch.

"As expected. I can't let my guard down against you." she laughed, gleaming at the sight. Ayla was holding her burned arm.

Using as much mana as she could, Lize created a devastating blast of fire and stone that destroyed everything around her.

"Isn't this over the line?"

"I agree."

"This is not a but a simple test."

Several students expressed their concerns, the expressions of James and Iris who watched the battle with a smile on their face changed drastically when they heard this, these lines seem to snap them out of the trance of excitement they were in.

"I think I better finish this." Iris muttered before diving deeper into the mist.

The mist cleared to reveal Iris holding Ayla's fists and kize, "Fight is over." Iris announced in a serious tone, causing the two of them to step back and retract their mana.

"Well now let's analyze the crystals and determine the winning team." exclaimed Kize

After a thorough analysis Ayla's team was announced as the winner, and now they would face Esdeath, Arthur and Kathlyn in the final.

The final was scheduled to take place a few minutes after Kize and Ayla's team battle, but their battle left the battlefield in an unpleasant state, so it was postponed until tomorrow.

"Well thanks to the change in the test schedule you have the rest of the day free." Communicated James, "Take advantage of this moment to regain your strength and have some fun."
