I disabled Realmheart.

I went down the dozen stairs carved into the stone, and started walking among the Alacryan soldiers, as they don't wear uniforms so it was easy to blend in with them.

I noticed a small group of soldiers who were shouting louder than before.

The casual duel of the two soldiers had turned into a full-blown event, some of the more enthusiastic members of the crowd began placing bets with their colleagues.

Blending into the crowd, I made my way towards the makeshift arena, continuing through the maze of people, trying to catch any conversation I was able to catch a part of the dialogue amid the clamor: "... I was able to catch some fish today at night."

While the toned man with several missing teeth could have simply been talking about catching a trout or some other aquatic vertebrate, suspicious looks told me their conversation wasn't so innocent.

Shortly after the union of the three races, the leaders of the three sides made a collective effort to abolish slavery. However, getting rid of slavery all at once would not only cause dissatisfaction among slaveholders, but there would be severe ramifications on the economy by essentially getting rid of a large part of the workforce.

To remedy this, one thing the Board had been diligently working on was taking a step-by-step approach; rewarding owners who freed their slaves and taxing the owners who held them with heavy taxes.

Although slavery existed in all three realms, there was always a high demand for dwarven and, in particular, elven slaves from Sapin.

'I don't understand why there would be such a high demand for slaves of different races. Is it because humans feel sorry for enslaving someone of their own race?" my bond asked.

'No. As frighteningly, many noble families practiced interbreeding with their dwarven or elven slaves so that their children could have a better life and better potential as a mage.'

Fluger didn't respond, but because of our bond, I could feel his anger spilling over.

'What will you do Lancelot?'

'I'll have to take a look before I decide.'

'You want to see it with your own eyes. I understand, but just a cursory glance can tell that most of them are knights, but they're only second-class at best. It wouldn't be difficult for you to get rid of them with Archlich.'

As long as my opponent wasn't an elite Alacryan army soldier like Seris, I wasn't afraid to have a face-to-face battle with anyone.

I broke out of the crowd and started walking around the Alacryan base, Fluger's information was accurate, these people were second class warriors at best.

At my current level, I could beat them without even using mana, however, it wasn't just the power gap that shocked me, their vigilance was also quite lax.

There were some who yawned loudly, chatted with colleagues or even sat on the floor and dozed off.

'Fluger, look for the slaves we will free them.'

While my bond was looking for the slaves, by the base highlighting magic circles on the walls, floor, I used an ink that was invisible to human eyes, even reinforced with mana.

I suddenly felt a violent fury building, but this anger was not mine but belonged to my bond.

'I think, the slaves are southwest of your current location.'

I headed southwest, this part of the base was full of shabby shacks and alleys littered with piles of rubbish along the way.

In front of me was a large one-story solid stone building. From just a cursory glance, the structure appeared to be over two hundred meters in diameter and several dozen meters wide. There were two guards lazily sitting against the wall beside the front entrance.
