Double Dress

For a split second, Jimmy and Y/N stared at the dress peeking out of Kay's bag.

"Isn't that...your dress, Y/N?" Jimmy whispered.

Y/N was in genuine shock. She had began to actually trust Kay. It made even more sense, now, that she had entered the dressing room so quickly when the fire alarm had started.

Y/N looked from the dress to Kay. "Yes...it is."

"Um—yes it is," said Kay. "I bought Y/N two different sizes as I didn't know which one would fit. I also thought I'd take it with us today as a spare in case something happened to the one she was wearing, especially before the after party."

"Don't forget the part where you decided to try it on yourself and frame Y/N for setting off a false alarm!" said Jimmy, his face horrified.

Y/N's heart filled with love hearing Jimmy believe and defend her against Kay. Kay had a good excuse, and he'd known her for such a long time, but he still decided to take Y/N's side.

"Shh!" said Kay, glancing around to make sure no officers had heard. "I didn't do that! Now you're the one falsely accusing me!"

"Kay, come on...I refuse to believe that there was a third person in that hallway with the exact same dress as Y/N. That's far too coincidental."

"Jimmy, please—"

"Tell me the truth now or I'm going to turn back around and inform those police officers of what you've done. I'm not having Y/N going down for this when she was literally with me the entire time."

Kay shook her head for a second, and Jimmy began to turn away, but then she opened her mouth. "Fine. I didn't do it, but...I know who did."
