A cold chill resonated throughout Y/N's body. This man was dead serious, no hint of humour in his steady eyes.
"Luckily I'd never hurt Kay intentionally." Y/N laughed uncomfortably.
"Then you have nothing to worry about." Don struck a smile, but his eyes didn't crease with it.
The other part of Don's confession replayed in Y/N's mind. "Wait...you love her?" she asked.
"Yes. She's just such an...energy. When she enters the room, you know it. It's hard to explain—"
"No, trust me, I know exactly what you mean," said Y/N, her eyebrows raised. How ironic.
"Anyway, I shouldn't have told you that. I don't even know you."
"My lips are sealed." But not the ones between my legs, Y/N added in her head with a smirk.

Y/N lazed around in the bedroom until Jimmy arrived back. She pretended not to hear him come through the front door, and perched daintily on the edge of the bed, staring down at her phone.
While she waited, she decided to check her text messages. She didn't usually expect any as her parents weren't familiar with technology so restricted themselves to e-mailing her, and she was also an only child.
To her surprise, she had two texts delivered from early that morning.
ALICE: We just got a call saying you can't come into work today cos you're hanging out with Jimmy Fallon wtf
SONIA: You didn't tell us you were friends with Jimmy Fallon!! How do you know him??Y/N wanted to brag, but she also didn't wanted to hold off on saying too much too soon, in case what her and Jimmy had, God forbid, went to pot.
Before she had the chance to respond, heart rate sped up as Jimmy's footsteps approached the room.
"Oh, hey," she said, feigning surprise.
Jimmy gaped back. "Wow..." he said, eyeing her dress and stepping closer. He held her waist in his hands before sliding them down to her thighs. Y/N's tummy tingled.
"Let me add my number into this before we go," said Jimmy, taking her phone from her hand. "Ah, I see you're friends are as happy about us as I am. They sure sounded it on the call earlier." he commented after noticing the texts on Y/N's screen.
Y/N ignored it. "What time are we leaving?" she asked softly.
"Any time now," said Jimmy.
Y/N wondered if she should tell Jimmy about the situation with Kay, but she decided that, for now, she'd keep it to herself. She'd trust Kay until she gave her a solid reason not to.
"You ready, Jim?" Don asked, walking in and stretching his arms.
"Yeah. Is Kay?"
"Yes she is," Kay said, reappearing with slightly wet hair in a smart blouse and trousers.
"Let's go," said Jimmy, placing his hand on Y/N's lower back and leading her out the door.

"So, what do you do at these meetings?" Y/N asked when they were in the car. It felt strange that the last time she was in this car with Jimmy, she wasn't nearly as close to him as she was now...and it was only less than a day ago.
"The team and I brainstorm ideas for segments and skits for future episodes, and think of guests to invite. If it doesn't interest you, you can just hang around in the building. They've got a cafe, lounge room, sports..."
Was Jimmy hinting that Y/N shouldn't tag along to the meeting? She actually did find it interesting, but she decided she'd do her own thing instead, just in case he didn't want her there but was too polite to say it. "I might check out the cafe," she said.
"I bet it'll be weird being served the coffee instead of giving it out," said Kay from the front seat.
"Yeah," Y/N agreed.

When they arrived at the venue, Don stayed in the car, Kay went off with Jimmy to the meeting, and Y/N began to explore the upstairs lounge room.
About ten people were dotted around inside playing pool, typing on computers, sitting on couches, smoking out of the window, and listening to music. The song playing at mid-volume from the public speaker was 'Lovesong' by The Cure.
Y/N stood in the doorway, clueless as to where to go or what to do. She began making her way towards an unoccupied window, when a thin pole with a camera attached at the top shot up from below it outside, snapped a picture in her direction, and then popped back down.
Y/N froze.
Did someone just take a photo of her?

Question: Do you think Y/N should be scared of Don, and what reasons do you have for your answer?
