After a while, Y/N went with Jimmy to join his friends at a corner of beaten leather couches. Amy Poehler, Andy Sandberg, Paul Rudd, and Ricky Gervais were sitting around, quite drunk. They had clearly been taking drugs of some sort, based on the small empty plastic pouches left on the coffee table.
Jimmy introduced Y/N, and they began to drink some more, too.
"So, who is she, then?" Ricky asked Jimmy, referring to Y/N who was perched awkwardly on the edge of one of the sofas.
"Y/N," Jimmy said.
"No, I mean, who is she to you?"
This was the question Y/N had been willing someone to ask Jimmy. What were they? Surely they couldn't be just friends. Jimmy had told her how she was the only person he had ever had feelings for. He always reached for her hand or her shoulder to comfort her in situations. And, surely he wouldn't let just anyone sleep in his bed without sex or even kissing involved. She had stopped Jimmy from answering this question when Ariana had asked it to him, but that was because she was afraid of Jimmy shutting down her hopes by replying with 'a friend'. Now, though, she was ready to hear however Jimmy thought of their relationship.
"She's, uh—she's my girlfriend." Jimmy breathed in deeply and pulled Y/N onto his lap.
None of his friends chanted childishly or teased him for being with her. Instead, they mumbled in amusement and nodded at the both of them approvingly.
Y/N's head began to spin. Was Jimmy serious? He was drunk, after all. He probably wouldn't remember what he'd said in the morning, but rumour had it that the truth comes out in drunken words. Y/N hoped he meant them.
She couldn't hide her smile, even in front of everyone, and hung onto Jimmy's shirt, leaning into him.
She just loved him so much. There was no better way to describe the feeling. Just love.
The thought of his skin feeling the pressure of hers made her want to touch him, always. The way his unspoken thoughts remained secret made her want to speak to him, always.
It was unconditional. No matter if he embarrassed himself, or who hated him, nothing would ever change the way she felt about Jimmy. Y/N was a little tipsy, and she decided that the truth came out in drunken thoughts, too.
After a while, she trailed off to the bathroom to relieve herself. She had drank quite a bit.
As she was about to leave her cubicle, she heard a squelchy kissing sound coming from the basins. She debated waiting for whoever it was coming from to leave, but she had a feeling she might be stuck in the toilets for a long time if she did that. She hadn't really touched anything with her hands, so she decided to pass on washing them to avoid the awkward situation of standing beside two people while they were making out.
She made her move, speed walking towards the restroom exit, giving the couple a quick glance, being nosy as to who they were. That was when her heart almost stopped in shock.
A long, brown ponytail swung through the air as the girl's lips smothered the other's face, and the other's leg, clothed in a pair of smart straight trousers cradled the first girl's waist.
The kissing couple was Ariana Grande, and Jimmy's assistant, Kay.
