Though she had managed to spare her tiredness a little while to complete her nightly routine, she still didn't have enough energy to worry about the awkwardness of joining Jimmy in bed. Or, maybe it was the alcohol. It sure did make her more confident around him.
Y/N blushed. She did want to get out of her expensive dress that she'd been wearing all day and night, but she wasn't quite ready to sleep naked next to Jimmy, yet.
She supposed Jimmy noticed the unsure look on her face. "Oh, I didn't mean you have to leave nothing on," he slurred. "Here, have my shirt."
Y/N's heart melted. Even when drunk, he was respectful. She knew that should be the expectation for everyone, but it was still a relief to know he met that expectation.
Jimmy pulled his shirt off over his head. Y/N wanted to stare, but she averted her eyes. Although...he had spied on her in the shower, so she deserved to make it even. She took in his body with her eyes, and just wanted to be near it.
He passed Y/N the shirt and she returned to the bathroom to change into it. It was large on her, past her hindquarters.
When she returned to the bedroom, Jimmy smiled at her appearance. Y/N felt shy, all of a sudden. She led down beside him, and he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer, so that his body encompassed hers. He began mumbling inaudible words into her neck, and kissing it. Her heart rate began to speed up...very fast. It tickled, but Y/N loved the feeling. She faced him, and they began to kiss each other's lips. They both giggled, and Y/N climbed on top of him. He began to pull up her—well, his—shirt, but then stopped. Y/N wanted to badly to keep going, but Jimmy gently shifted her off and pulled away. That just made her heart race even more. Had she done something wrong?"What?" she whispered, embarrassed.
"I want to wait until I'm sober to do this," Jimmy whispered back, cupping Y/N's face in his hands and looking lovingly into her eyes. "I want to feel it all properly."
Y/N felt, not only a wash of relief, but pure love. That was the best thing he could have said to her. The sweetest thing.
Jimmy pulled his hands down and continued to talk. He looked away from her this time, almost shamefully. "Earlier, when I was about to do that coke, I saw you and everything changed. I used to do a lot of drugs, because I didn't have a reason not to. They were the only thing that brought my mood up, and I had nothing to lose except myself. Now, I have you to make me happy, so I don't need drugs, and I have you I could lose."
Y/N placed her palm on Jimmy's face. She was genuinely speechless.
"Don was worried about me in the car, I could tell. Usually when he picks me up after parties, I'm out of my head a bit. I guess I never really knew how worried it made him because I wasn't in the headspace to see it. He's a good friend, he is. Anyway...it changes everything. Love."
