When Y/N faded back into consciousness, Jimmy was above her, lifting her head. He looked distraught.

"Y/N! What on Earth going on? What happened to you?" he said, his voice urgent.

Y/N felt like a mess. She allowed herself a few seconds to piece together what had just happened. Then, she sat up slowly, with Jimmy holding her for support. That was when she saw the vomit and diarrhoea surrounding her. Her heart began to race, and she clutched her chest, just wishing she would wake up from a nightmare.

She couldn't think of anything worse than this. She was sitting, sweating, beside a pile of her own fluids, in front of the man she wanted to impress most in the world. Surely there was no way he could see her as anything other than disgusting ever again.

"Oh my god," she whispered, and began to sob. She wanted to hold back her tears, not to appear as even more of a mess then she already did, but she had no energy left for it, and let them pour out.

Jimmy looked extremely panicked. "Y/N, you need to tell me what's going on! Why are you so sick? Did someone do something to you out here? Your dress was pulled up when I found you!"

"No," Y/N choked. "No one did anything, I don't know why this happened."

"But...what did happen?" Jimmy asked.

"I just felt really sick...so I went off to the woods because the toilets were too far...and then I passed out...and—" Y/N paused, remembering something. "Then I saw a flash. Like a camera flash."

Jimmy looked around, suddenly alert. "Where did you see it?" he asked urgently.

Y/N pointed weakly towards a tree. Jimmy set her down gently and started making his way towards the tree, his stance aggressive. Y/N wanted to stop him in case anything happened, but she barely had the energy to, so she watched on. He found nothing, though, and came back to her.

Then, a voice sounded through the trees. "Jim?" someone called.

"That's Justin calling me," Jimmy whispered to Y/N. "He must be wondering where I went. Come on, let's get away from this," he said, gesturing to the vomit and diarrhoea.

Jimmy helped Y/N up and they moved away from the mess. Then, Justin found them.

"What's going on?" Justin asked, looking concerned at a very disheveled Y/N.

"Y/N's been very sick," said Jimmy. "You guys continue the game, but I think I'm gonna have to take her to the hospital."

"Oh, God," said Justin. "Is it that bad? I'm so sorry, I really hope you get better soon."

"Thank you," Y/N managed.

"Tell Patrick and Travis thank you for the game. I'm gonna have to head off with Y/N now. I'll see you soon, buddy," Jimmy said to Justin.

With Y/N struggling to walk, Jimmy picked her up and carried her towards the front building. She wished she was well enough to enjoy the moment, but she still managed to appreciate the feel of being against Jimmy's skin, enclosed in his arms.

He sat her down on a chair in the cafe and called Don on his phone. "Don, are you still in the area? I need you to come back to the golf course and take Y/N to the hospital right now."

During the journey there, Jimmy asked lots of questions about how Y/N was feeling, the details of the camera flash she'd seen (which there weren't any details of), and why on Earth she didn't tell him she was feeling ill. Of course it was because she was embarrassed about spurting diarrhoea everywhere, especially out in the open! Did he even need to ask that question?

Once they'd arrived, Y/N was admitted into the emergency room and began to be tested on. She wasn't freaking out in the hospital, though. With experts on hand and being treated in a secure unit with no paparazzi or intruders, she felt safe there. Perhaps her sudden illness was a cause of all of the stress and anxiety she'd had to deal with over the last two days.

When the results came back, though, it wasn't what Y/N had guessed. "We've found the cause of your problem, Miss Y/L/N. Lucky for you, it's a one-time thing and you'll be okay. There's nothing actually wrong with you," the nurse said. "We've found a large concentration of magseniaoprophen in your bloodstream, and you've overdosed on the drug."
