The world faded into Y/N's consciousness, one sense by one. She found herself lying on the concrete, a circle of watchers surrounding her, including two police officers.
"Can you hear me, miss?" one of them asked, knelt down beside her. The other was speaking into a walkie-talkie, something about...paramedics.
"...Yes," Y/N whispered in a daze.
A pair of strong hands from behind her lifted her to sit upright, and she leaned back into a soft chest. She knew those hands, and she knew that chest. The feeling of them drew her back into reality. They were Jimmy's.
"Can you hear me, Y/N?" he asked leaning his face forward to see hers. "Are you feeling okay?"
Y/N nodded hazily, and the officer beside her edged her off Jimmy and into a pair of handcuffs.
"Why are you doing this to her? What-what's she done?" Jimmy demanded.
"I can't discuss that with you at the moment, sir," the officer answered. "Now, if you'll please come with me, young lady. You're not in a lot of trouble, we just need to talk to you."
Y/N was dragged shamefully through the crowd and into the back of a police car. She would rather have stayed unconscious forever in Jimmy's arms than endure that moment.

In the police station, they sat her down in a white room, bare besides a table and two uncomfortable plastic chairs.
"Why did you set the fire alarm off when there was no fire?" the same officer asked, sat opposite her.
What?! Okay, it wasn't as bad as what she'd expected. She wasn't being accused of murder or anything, and her accusation was of something she didn't do, so surely she could deny it and that would be the end of the matter. "I didn't—"
He sighed. "We have the CCTV footage. Don't waste your own time denying it. It'll only make you look worse. You've already taken a lot of business time from the people working in Rockefeller Centre as it is by making them evacuate."
"I-I can assure you it's not me!" Y/N cried. She was still in shock. She already knew Jimmy was going to help sue these people for arresting and detaining her for something she didn't do. She wouldn't have to ask him twice.
"Oh, really? Do you want to own up now, or should we play you the footage?"
"Please do!"
Of everything Y/N's heart had been through in the past two days, she was sure this was the last straw on the camel's back that was going to send it into cardiac arrest. Well, for anyone, this incident alone could break the camel's back! She had to give herself credit, though—she hadn't drove herself insane. She was still...somehow...managing to keep it all together.
The man clicked the mouse on his laptop a few times, then turned it around to face Y/N. On the screen, a clip of someone wearing the very same dress as hers was seen gently breaking the small square of glass over the fire alert button and pressing it, before casually walking away and rounding a corner in the hall.
But they were wearing a cap.
Y/N wasn't.

Question: Why do you think Y/N is being accused of setting off the fire alarm?
