Chapter 28

"Uhm, excuse me I just want to ask. Am I too early? Because I haven't seen my classmates yet." Takang tanong ko rito.

"Oh. Didn't they inform you? We will not having a class today because I have a meeting." I nodded in understanding at akmang tatayo na sana.

"Where are you going?." Tanong nito na ikinakunot ng noo ko.

"Why? You said we don't have a class today, so... maybe I should just leave." I said while shrugging.

"Hindi ba't ililibre kita ng lunch. Nakalimutan mo na ba?."

"Ah right. I'll going to wait you then, until you comeback." I said and she smiles.

"Oh no. You can wait for me here, it's actually just an online meeting." Tumango nalang ako tsaka bumalik sa pagkakaupo.

Maya-maya ay narinig kong nagsimula na yung meeting nya. Hindi daw kasi nakapasok si Mrs. President, kaya nag online meeting nalang sila. Me on the other hand, I'm busy scrolling some tiktok videos. I turn on my bluetooth this time and connect it to my airpods para hindi ako maka distorbo. Maya-maya pa ay na bored narin ako kakanood, bigla kong naisip since I missed my DSLR hindi ko sya nadadala dito sa school kasi bukod sa mabigat ito ay tinatamad din akong dalhin ito kaya nagpicture-picture nalang ako using my phone.

Halos 45 mins. din ang tinagal bago natapos yung meeting nya. I'm just checking those pictures na kinunan ko kanina. I couldn't help but smile because all my shots were beautiful.

"Let's go?." Agad akong napa angat ng tingin kay Ms. Natalie na ngayon ay naka ngiting naka tayo sa harapan ko.

"You're done?." I ask and she nodded then she mouthed 'yup'.

Kinuha na nito yung mga gamit nya tsaka gumura na kami sa caf. what I love about this school is may food court sa loob ng campus. We usually eat there if vacant namin or di namin trip kumain sa cafeteria. Speaking of caf. nandito na kami at kumakain, mabuti nalang at walang masyadong estudyante, so dito nalang namin napiling kumain.

Habang kumakain kami ay hindi nito naiwasang magtanong kung ba't daw ngiting-ngiti ako kanina bago kami pumunta dito sa cafeteria. Kaya pinakita ko na sa kanya yung mga kuha kong litrato nya kanina. Her mouth slightly open as she looking those pictures that I took earlier.

"Well, not bad. It's actually pretty good." Naka ngiti nitong sambit tsaka binalik yung phone ko.

"I know right... if you wondering why I took that photo of you. Well, I just found it cute... that someone is wearing my clothes." I said pointing the dress that she's wearing. Napatingin naman ito kung saan ako naka turo and she chuckles bago ibinalik ang tingin sa akin.

"I see. Thank you nga pala dito. Don't worry ibabalik ko agad sayo 'to kapag nalabhan ko na." Saad nito tsaka bumalik sa pagkain.

"Oh no. You can keep it po." She give me a confused look. I smile and took a sip of my drinks.

"Don't worry I haven't use that yet, so yeah... And I swear, it look so good in you though." She nodded and say thank you.

Hindi nagtagal ay natapos na rin kaming kumain saktong nag bell din means tapos na ang lunch break.

"Thanks again for the treat." I said and smile at her, she smiles at me too.

"You're welcome, my friend." Pabiro nitong sambit na ikinatawa naming dalawa. We finally bid our goodbyes to each other and went into our separate ways.

Natapos narin sa wakas ang klase ko means uwian na. I shake my head of thinking about what happened earlier shitt nakakahiya.

"Yes! Makukuha ko narin yung phone ko." I mumbled to myself as I started making my way to Ms. Avi's office.

Kumatok muna ako until I hear a soft 'come in' na nagmumula sa loob. I slowly open the door at ngiting-ngiti na naglakad papunta sa table ni Ms. Avi, but she just looks at me coldly at inabot sa akin yung phone ko. Tsaka binalik ang atensyon nya sa kanyang ginagawa.

"May kailangan ka pa Miss Villarreal?." Tanong nito habang nakatutok parin sa laptop nya.

"I just want to invite you for dinner?." She finally looked up to me.

"Don't worry Professor. Kasama ko po yung mga friends ko." Natahimik kaming dalawa ng ilang segundo bago siya sumagot.

"I'm sorry... but I'm busy." Bored nitong sagot tsaka bumalik sa pagta-type sa laptop nya.

"Ok po. Maybe si Ms. Natalie nalang yayain ko." Tumalikod na ako at akmang aalis na sana pero nagsalita ulit ito.

"Wait... I'm gonna go with you." Mabilis na sabi nito na ikinangisi ko bago sya harapin ulit.

"But you said you were busy ma'am."

"Yeah, I know but now I'm accepting your invitation. Ayaw mo ba?." My smile go wide.

"Syempre, gusto." I said calmly trying not to sound too excited but deep inside gusto ko nang magwala sa saya.
