Sawyer POV

I wake up the next morning cuddled into someone and start to freak out when I remember where I am. I hear Alex say, "Shh it's okay Sawyer.." and I slowly open my eyes and see Alex smiling softly at me. "Good morning sleepyhead." She says and let's go of me. I start to stretch and look over to where Serv and Charlie should be and see the couch vacant.

"Charlie woke up about an hour ago, so Serv started breakfast."

I nod my head and look away from Alex, "I'm sorry about last night.." I murmur.

I feel the couch shift and Alex has kneeled in front of me, "You have nothing to be sorry for, did you have a nightmare?"

I slowly nod and shrug, "Yeah, but it's not a big deal."

"It is if you're having them a lot and it's affecting your sleep. Do you want to talk about it?"

I shake my head quickly, "No!"

"Saw-" "I said no. Please." I plead with her. She looks at me with a worried expression, but let's out a sigh, "Okay. But I'm always here to listen or talk, okay?"

I look at her with a small smile and nod, "I know." With that I stand up, "Is it okay if I go up to my room real quick? I'll be down for breakfast in a few."

She looks at me suspiciously, but nods.

I head up the stairs and get to my room, and close the door. I sit down on my bed and take a few deep breaths. I wanted to keep the nightmares a secret, but now Alex knows and is going to be hyper aware when I am sleeping. I'm not ready to talk about them and I don't know if I ever will be. I sigh, waking up this morning, I felt an overwhelming feeling of safety and love. I look up to the ceiling, "Mom and Dad, is this okay? I feel so guilty because I still miss you guys." I whisper and brush a stray tear away. I let out a deep breath and wipe my face.

I head downstairs and walk to my bag to get a hoodie and walk into the kitchen. "Sawyer!" I hear Charlie say. "Charlie!" I walk over and give her a kiss on the head.

"Morning Serv." I look over and see him flipping pancakes. He looks at me, "Morning Sawyer, you sleep okay?" I look down and nod, "Yeah I did.." He looks at me and smiles, "That's good, are you ready for game day pancakes?"

I smile at him and nod, "Totally, pancakes are my favorite."

At that moment, I hear barking and Alex let's in two dogs that barrel into the house. I love dogs so I bend down and start petting them.

"I should've asked if you like dogs, but thankfully you do. That's Kona and Blue is the brown one."

I chuckle and stand up when I'm done petting them. I sit down next to Charlie's high chair and across from Alex. She looks at me curiously, but just points to my meds sitting next to my plate. I gulp them down with some water, "Thanks."

I set my water down, "So what time are we leaving?"

"The game is at two, I have to be there at noon. So we will leave here around 11:30." I nod and look at the clock, which says 9AM. "What will we do until then?"

"Park!" Charlie squeals.

"There's a park really close by that we walk to before home games. It became a tradition in Orlando, hanging out as a family at the park before games, so we continued it here." She smiles at me. I nod once as Serv places a plate of pancakes in front of me.

I load up on syrup and start inhaling them. "Whoa, slow down Sawyer, the pancakes aren't going anywhere!"

I shrug and keep eating while Charlie tries to imitate me.
