Chapter 58

Alex POV

I look in the back and see Sawyer and Charlie passed out with Maverick.

"Okay, let's wake these babies up." Serv says.

We get out and I breathe in the fresh air, 'I love the lake.'

I open Charlie's door and unbuckle her, "So sleepy, momma."

"I know baby, let's get inside and back to bed."

"No!" I hear Sawyer yell.

"Come on baby, then back to bed." Serv says.

She groans and gets out of the car, Maverick not far behind.

"Momma!" Charlie whines.

"Alright let's go my sleepy children."

We go inside and I direct Sawyer to her space, "Charlie sleep with me?"

"Sure baby. Just get into bed." I say.

"Where's bear?" She asks.

"Backpack, baby."

I place Charlie in bed and run downstairs and snag bear.

I get upstairs and see Charlie and Sawyer cuddled in bed with Maverick. I place bear with Sawyer and kiss both of their heads.

"Love you guys."

I walk out and leave the door partially open.

I walk to our room and see Serv placing our stuff down.

"I love it here." I say and lean against the door frame.

He smiles, "Remember when we first got this place? Just you and me?"

I nod, "Yeah, we were just married. Seven long years ago. No kids. Not even a dog!"

He laughs, "Just a vision of having our family. And now we have two kids and three dogs. I'm just so happy."

"Me too." I walk over to him and he wraps his arms around me.

"Ready for a third kid?" He says.

I laugh, "Not yet. All part of the plan. But doesn't mean we can't practice."

I kiss him and hold him close, "I love you."

"I love you." He responds.

Sawyer POV

I wake up to a bright light in the room.

I open my eyes and blink, not really recognizing where I am.

I look down and see Charlie and kiss her head.

I get up and stretch, "Morning Mav, wanna go walk around?"

He groans, "Okay, let's go."

I walk by a room and peek in to see momma and pops cuddled in bed.

I keep walking downstairs and head out the back door to see the lake.

I take a deep breath and smile, 'So nice.'

I walk down to the dock and sit, letting my feet hang off the edge, into the water.

I see some fishing boats and just watch.

'My parents would've loved this, I think.'

I close my eyes, "Hi mom, hi dad."

I listen to the silence.

"Hopefully you saw the game last night. Sorry I didn't play the full 90, I wanted to."
