Sawyer POV

I groan as I walk into the group home, Liz greeting me at the door. I already got a warning that there would be yelling, Liz knows I hate it, but I know she's really upset with me because I've been suspended for the rest of the week.

"SAWYER MARIE ANDERSON, WHAT THE HELL?!"

I flinch at the volume. But I just look at the floor and feel tears building. I hear Liz take a deep breath and walk towards me.

"Kid, what happened? All I asked for was one week. Hell I'll take one day at the rate you're going. Just please talk to me."

I take a deep breath still looking at the floor, "Just Sasha said something to me and I responded and well you know the rest..."

"Sawyer, there's going to be a million Sasha's in your life and you can't act this way towards them. That's not how life works. You can't just do things without thinking and not have ramifications."

I nod slowly and look at her with tears in my eyes, "I just couldn't stop myself, my stupid brain just does what it wants and I can't control it sometimes." Tears falling down my face.

She pulls me into her. "I know it's hard Sawyer, but you can't always blame your brain. I'll call Dr. Gray and see if she thinks a med change is order, but until then, you're in house arrest. And no soccer including your game, I already spoke with coach."

My head snaps up to her eyes as she says that, "WHAT?! That's not fair Liz! I couldn't control it and I'm being punished because my brain is faulty?! Please I need soccer, you know how much it helps me!"

"Sawyer, I know some of it is out of your control, but you've shown you can make good choices and today you chose impulsively, poorly. I'm sorry, but no soccer. You can kick around in the yard and that's it."

I start towards my room, "This fucking sucks." I mumble. Liz catches my choice of words and grabs my backpack. "Homework at the table where I can keep my eye on you."

As I'm walking over to the kitchen table, I feel my phone vibrate and pull it out to see that Emily texted me.

Emily: "Dude! What the hell! I heard you told it to Sasha, but in front of Principal Austin! What the fuck were you thinking?! You were at school for like 60 seconds! And you can't come to soccer?!"

Me: "I already got yelled at by Liz, I don't need it from you. I know I screwed up, I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking. Nope, Liz said I'm grounded from soccer, it's bullshit."

Liz looks back at me, "Sawyer, phone please." I look at her like she grew three heads. "Liz, come on! I need it!" I yell. "You don't, you won't be leaving the house. Tell Emily you will talk to her on Monday."

I look to see a response,

Emily: Hell yeah you screwed up, we need you! I'm sorry for yelling, but dude I can't always be there to stop you from being stupid, you have to get better!

Me: I know. Listen Liz is taking my phone, talk Monday.

I shut my phone off and give it to Liz. I then head to the table to start my homework, which is probably the worst thing for since I get so frustrated while doing it. Fuck, this is gonna be a long week.

*Time skip to Saturday*

Alex POV

Serv, Charlie, and I have just arrived at Balboa Park where the adoption agency's family day is taking place. We park and grab Charlie out of her car seat. Serv and I each take hold of one of Charlie's hands and walk to the hillside to the check in table.
