Alex POV - NYE

"Alright baby, you have some fidgets?" I ask her.

"Yes, momma. And I have a chew tube plus I'm wearing my necklace. I'll be okay." She groans.

"Yeah Mrs. C and I'll keep an eye for cues!" Makena speaks up.

I look at the house and feel uneasy, but know that I have to trust Sawyer.

I turn around, "No drinking. And do not, I repeat, do not get into a vehicle with someone who's been drinking. Even if it's one beer, I don't care. Got it?"

She nods.

"I love you. And I'll pick you two up at 12:30. Call me if you need anything or want to leave earlier."

"Aye aye Mrs. C! Come on, babe." Makena says and gets out.

"Love you momma. Happy new year!" Sawyer says and gets out.

I watch as they walk up to the house and disappear inside.

I let out a breath and start heading back to the house.

I pull in and head inside, "Momma!"

I scoop Charlie up, "Hi baby! Ready for bed?"

She shakes her head, "Stay up til Sawyer come home?"

I chuckle, "Too late for you, baby."

She shakes her head, "Sleep in Sawyer's room? I wait for her?"

I sigh, "Okay baby. I'll put you in her bed."

I take her up and change her, then place her in Sawyer's bed.

"Love you, Charlie."

"Love momma." She says and I watch her drift off.

I walk back downstairs and see Serv in the kitchen.

He hands me a glass of wine, "You worried about her?"

I nod, "Of course I am."

He smiles, "Me too. But she'll be okay. We have to trust her. And we trust Makena."

I nod and lean in to kiss him, "I know."

"What time you picking her up?" He asks me.

"12:30."

"Let's have fun until then." He says.

I laugh, "Let's."

Sawyer POV

"Come on babe!"

I follow Makena and she squeezes my hand.

"You okay?"

I nod, "Yeah, just a lot of people."

She smiles and stops walking, then leans in to kiss me, "Feel better?"

I smile and nod, "Definitely."

"Hey Makena!"

I look around her and see two girls.

"Hey! Babe, this is Jess and Maggie! Guys, this is Sawyer, my girlfriend."

I smile and wave, "What's up?"

They smile, "Nice to meet you. We've heard all about you, this one doesn't shut up about you."

I glance at Makena who's cheeks are red, "Is that so?"

They nod and chuckle, "Totally."

We start talking and exchanging stories, when Makena tugs my hand.

"Dance?"
