Alex POV

I pull up to Sawyer's school and look over at Serv and in the back at Sawyer, who is asleep. Last night was rough for everyone. Between Sawyer's nightmares and Serv and I going through her socials and wanting to kill every kid who sent her a DM, I'm beat.

Serv reaches over and grabs my hand, squeezing it. "We got this."

I nod, "Hey Sawyer. Come on, up and at 'em baby."

I watch as she cracks her eyes open and looks around. "No thanks, I'm good."

Serv chuckles and I glare at him, "Hey, at least she was polite?"

"Baby, Serv and I are going to deal with this bullying issue. And I'll ask you again, you're sure you don't want to move schools?

She shakes her head, "It'll be worse somewhere else."

Serv mumbles, "Not sure how it can get worse.."

I slap his shoulder and Sawyer sighs.

I see Rachel at the front, "Alright, there's Rachel. Be good, be nice. I know you're tired and feeling emotional, but please keep it in check. Ask for-"

"Breaks, help, snacks..I got it. Love you guys."

"We love you."

I watch as she meanders to Rachel and Rachel waves at us.

I take a deep breath. "Ready momma bear?"

"Let's take down some teenagers."

He laughs, which makes me laugh, "Sounded better in my head."

We hop out of the car armed with evidence in the form of Sawyer's phone and head to the office.

"Hi! Principal Austin? She's expecting us."

The office assistant looks at me and hurriedly goes to retrieve her.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Carrasco, let's head to my office."

We follow her down the hallway and into her office, "Have a seat."

Serv grabs my hand and squeezes to calm me down.

"I'm going to get right to the point, Sawyer is being bullied here at school and via social media, in which DMs are being sent to her while these kids are here on campus. Now, these kids can be expelled or I can send this whole situation to one news station and it'll go viral. This isn't the first time it has happened and you promised that Sawyer would be safe, but she isn't. She's set up to fail because yes, she does have a temper that we're trying to reel in, but she's not perfect. And when her environment is full of triggers, she can't truly try to change her behavior because there's never a moment where she can even be remotely successful."

"Do you have proof that these kids are bullying her beyond what I've already been notified of?"

I toss Sawyer's unlocked phone on her desk opened to Instagram.

"Pick a DM, they're all pretty awful. My favorite is video a kid took of yesterday's incident in which another kid calls me a MILF. Sawyer doesn't need to be exposed to that! I can handle the comments, I'm 32! Sawyer can't! She doesn't have the capacity to handle them and ignore them. School is supposed to be safe for every kid, but it's not for Sawyer and she fairly consistently is the one who gets in trouble whereas these other kids don't even get a warning!"

"Mrs. Carrasco let me be clear when I say that we don't tolerate bullying and I'll be going through these and pulling each student to determine whether expulsion or another course of action will be required."
