(3rd POV) (Location: Saderan Empire, Capital City)
On a Roman styled court, where many individuals wearing clothes that is a reminiscent the ones weared by Roman nobles, are arguing with one another over the disastrous campaign beyond the two gates.
"Your majesty the campaign through both gate had been an absolute disaster, 60% of the imperial army we have sent were completely wiped out." A senator says with a grim look on his face.
"Not only that, the enemies have captured the gates, entrenching themselves around both gates, and more than like preparing to launch an attack against us by any moment." He lastly added as he stared towards their ruler.
Molt, current Emperor of the Saderan Empire listened with a perfectly calm look, internally however he was both frustrated and internally wary of the current situation that he was in.
What would have been a campaign that would have further expand his empire to news land and gain vast new resource to further strengthen his nation instead ended in a complete disaster that weakened the empire's military strength to a mere 40% of what it originally was.
He wonder to himself why it ended up quite bad for them, was it because he was too overconfident to believe that they were superior anf invincible, that his army could tackle any threat they might face beyond the gates.
Fate however says otherwise to this and reminded him why he shouldn't have tempted fate and should have taken a much more cautious approach, because apparantly fate strikes back very hard when you underestimate the unkown.
Normally the failure of the campaign would have made him worried greatly, sure he is still worried about the new enemy that defeated his army, but he was confident that they could beat them back through other means, after all the empire always triumphs against any foe they encounter.
A simple failure would have not been enough to discourage him, he would have just find a better way to beat their enemies, then finally showing why the empire can triumps over any enemies they encounter.
But that can't be said the same to their new enemies, reports from the surviving men have enlightened him enough of just how outmatched they were, details of how their enemies fight had brought some cold chills to Molt spine when he read the reports.
