•Chapter fifty five•
I did finally find you.
It took only eight months for Taehyung, after his marriage, to know that he was living the best life anyone ever could.
Every moment was absolutely beautiful, even the ones in which he just slept beside his husband and ones in which he carried Chaewon around as she talked and talked like a grandma, learning how to talk like an old woman from her own grandma.
Every past struggle was forgotten now.
Taehyung forgave everyone who ever caused him pain.
He expressed care for Mira, glad she survived so long, and having hope that she will survive until Siwoo is a completely grown girl. Siwoo, Hyeon, and Mira had even shifted out of the palace and found a house for themselves in the village which was just as beautiful as they needed it to be happy.
They were happy. For now, both Hyeon and Mira were happy, finding comfort and belonging in one another.
He had broken a bond of mother-son with Youngmi, but he made another one, of mother-in-law and son-in-law.
Nothing caused him trouble now since his family didn't face any problems.
Since his wedding, things just got better and better.
Jungkook looked gorgeous. It was obvious the king was going to look wonderful, but Taehyung was shocked that he even agreed to wear the clothes he was wearing now.
It was such a turn-on.
Jungkook wore something similar to his own: an outer navy blue robe which didn't flow like his own but did shine like his, and a few under layers of white linings.
His muscles--god, his muscles--stood out so clearly and well that Taehyung had difficulty believing that this man was the same one he knew until yesterday. Yes, it was no surprise he had a heavenly-built body, but Jungkook wore loose clothes too, so none of it was highlighted.
But lord did he have what was needed by Taehyung to drool.
Jungkook stared at him with intense eyes, but he had the warmest of smiles on his face. Taehyung could see how he struggled to stay still and not squirm in excitement. His clammy sweaty hands were beside his sides, fisted.
"Go," Jimin said, eyeing how Chaewon had started throwing a tantrum again and was struggling against Yoongi's hold to come to Taehyung. "Enjoy. You may not get to marry ever again."
Taehyung didn't pay much attention. His eyes were locked on Jungkook's; he didn't want to look anywhere else.
There was a huge crowd. Many whispers were heard, but no one could make out what exactly was being told.
Taehyung slowly walked a little ahead, only looking away from Jungkook when Yoongi and Namjoon joined his sides, smiling brightly at him, proudly, happily.
"Let us take you there?" Namjoon asked with shining eyes, and Taehyung didn't waste a second nodding aggressively, knowing that they were the only ones who always held his back since he was a baby.
They were basically his parents.
"You better not regret this, Tae," Yoongi's cute threat made Taehyung smile sheepishly at him. His hyung will never stop thinking he's a baby. He still thinks Taehyung's decision was immature and would somehow make him suffer.
But Taehyung had no hesitation.
Jungkook's smile had gotten a bit bigger than before now. Taehyung couldn't wait to kiss his lips and make him his forever.
