•Chapter seventeen•

If I'm drowning, I'll pull you along with me.

"I won't, mom!" Jungkook yelled, on his knees at her feet as he cried all over again.

He couldn't take in the hundreds of mistakes he had done just because of his stupidity and recklessness.

"You have to!" Youngmi yelled, infuriated by the way Jungkook seemed to take the feelings of the girl and the expectations everyone keep because of his promise so lightly.

She was being asked to do something which no one would like and accept.

She's keeping all her holes high for the day he would get married because she will finally see her son take over and become the king.

But Jungkook wasn't even thinking about this. He was messed up all because of his infatuation which he should've forgotten after he concluded a girl his wife.

Jungkook wasn't involved in infatuation and had a much deeper problem because of the imprintimg bond, but she knew none of that.

He didn't tell her that, knowing that she would blame Taehyung for it and say that it happened because Taehyung lured him into doing all these things.

But as much as it was Taehyung's fault for luring him, Jungkook was at fault for giving in to his urges and accepting Taehyung's plead.

Taehyung would break because of him.

It's such a huge chaos, and he hated the way things were going on and what it was leading to.

He didn't want to do this. He wanted to remain with Taehyung and love him forever. He wanted to just stay alone and remain lonely if it Taehyung doesn't love him back or accept him.

He never wanted to bind him down forcefully with this bond and leave him no choice but to like him.

He would rather see Taehyung getting married to someone else and living a beautiful life with them and make his own little beautiful family rather than forcing him to be with him.

He disliked to such a limit that he couldn't even seem to breathe properly around him. With all the courage he could muster, he went up to Taehyung so the omega would take out his frustration on him, but he was met with a crying Taehyung who claimed to have missed him.

It hurt more than Taehyung's sharp words. It would've been much better if the omega had just hit him instead of doing what he did.

He proved himself to be one such alpha who is just needy for an omega. Just any omega who he could call his.

How useless.

He had to make it stop. He already spoilt Taehyung's life; he couldn't tie down another omega and take her happiness away too.

"You should have thought about it before! You cannot be a proper king of you can't control your anger or words, Jungkook!" Youngmi yelled, forcefully pulling him to his feet.

"You have to do something now," she growled. "Either give your meaningless love an end or make yourself a fool and take back a promise you made."

"Can I do that, mother?" he asks, eyes glossy, flashing, screaming hurt. "Can I take back a promise?"

"They'll throw you out of the post of crown prince for not being competent enough to even fulfil his own promises. They've all had strong hopes of seeing you get married. If all you want is your reckless love them go out an end to the reputation of the Jeons. Jeon kingdom will come to an end."
